Diamond Engagement and Wedding Rings

‘Diamonds are forever’

'Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’

Haven't we heard these statements a million times? From times immemorial Diamond Jewelry has been used as an expression of beauty, love and wealth. It is the favorite gemstone which adorns the engagement rings and wedding rings. This gemstone is also known as heera and associated with the Planet Venus which is representation of love, marriage, beauty and comforts. No Woman can resist a Diamond ring. Diamond engagement rings, especially, are very popular and significant because in most western cultures wear the ring on the left hand on the ring finger as it is thought that the vein in that finger leading to the heart. However, on the day of the wedding, the bride takes the engagement ring and wears it on her right ring finger. This is because the wedding band is traditionally worn closer to the heart. Then after the ceremony, the engagement ring is returned to the left hand, on top of the wedding band. And what can be better than a Diamond Ring to a loved one as a symbol of love and commitment? Wearing Diamond ring as Jewelry is said to lead towards love and devotion in relationships and increase passion and sexual desires. Diamonds therefore are more popular over the traditional metal in engagement rings. Moreover, Diamond rings are considered to be trendy and stylish and have designs ranging from simple and authentic to complex and fancy ones. The wide variety in shapes, sizes and price ranges of diamonds have made it convenient and best pick for engagement or wedding ring.

Diamond is a very strong stone and I guess that may be the reason it is considered indicative of stability and longevity in love and marriage. Despite of being a very costly and valuable stone, this stone does not fail to attract grooms who want to give bigger stones to their brides as an expression of love and devotion to them. It is also the wedding anniversary gemstone of 30th and 60th year of marriage too.
