Why would I listen to Mike Dillard?

How I find out if someone is good on the web.

As a psychology professor with over 30 years of teaching and research experience, I have studied how to determine if a scientific study is valid and worthy of consideration. Now that I am close to retirement, I have turned my skills toward ferreting out the good information sources on the web and ignoring the junk. Let's face it - there is an awful lot of misinformation and rip-off sites on the web.

So, my hypothesis was: What does it take to start an online business and be successful? I have spent a year and 1/2 researching sites and companies and am still trying to find the best possible answer to the question.

When I first started looking into MLM sites, I came across some sites mentioning MIke Dillard. I even signed up for his free email and began getting emails from him for several month.

Now there are many sites that offer free emails. Of course, in the free emails, they get your attention and provide some information. But they also blast you an offer whenever there is something new to market. Mike Dillard's emails were similar to others that I had also signed up to receive.

I signed up for emails from Perry Marshall, whom Mike Dillard talks about frequently in his book. I signed up for Ed Dale and Frank Kern and Dan Kennedy and Ken McCarthy. These guys are heavy hitters in the industry and know how to make a fortune online.

Not that Mike Dillard is any slouch. He says he will make $10 million this year from his web activities. That's a number I only dream about. But does making money mean he can help me?

When you are a newbie, its easy to sign up for something, think its the next best pathway towards your fortune. You spend money on products and countless hours learning how to get "leads." Even with leads, you have not learned how to make the big money in a timely fashion.

Well, I ignored Mike Dillard for over a year. Then I was talking to a fellow Zenzuu member - Don Spiro - gojiking. I asked him about how he was building his business. He has sponsored over 2500 new members this year. He talked at length about how much he has learned from Mike Dillard and how it has helped his business grow tremendously.

So, I did a google search again about Mike Dillard and found a website talking about what he learned from Mike. He talked about posture - seeing yourself as a strong person first.

As a psychologist, that intrigued me because so many of us fail to think and act in successful ways and then wonder why success elludes us. So, I popped for the Magnetic Sponsoring book.

In the book Mike tells you two valuable lessons. First, create this image of a strong, capable leader. He gave this image a name - the Alpha. Perhaps you have heard of an Alpha Male - it is a popular term for a strong man whom others will follow. Perhaps you have been a gamer where you created an avatar. The proliferation of avatar's meaning can be traced to Second Life, a multiplayer online virtual world, where players fashion their own online personae called avatars.

For Michael Dillard, the image of Alpha is an avatar of strength and trust and provides the individual with a set of behaviors as well as beliefs that can be used to instill images of success in the followers. People want to follow Alphas and if you follow - you will make money.

So, with this mental image of success, Michael Dillard offers some succinct strateties for building a 24/7 presentation that builds wealth.

I think his ideas have some merit and can't wait to see what the next year brings in terms of personal income as I try to follow the steps of his program.
