Why would you hate black people?
73The people I talk to who live in different countries will probably not understand, or be able to relate to this blog. Hell 50% of the people in my country will not be able to understand or relate to this blog either. The other 50% probably will disagree with what I say, but it needs to be said.
Black people. That word, that race of people, kind of strikes fear into your heart doesn't it? Yes sir, white America is deathly afraid of "the black guy". Public perception of black people is that they are dirty, lazy, and criminals. Ever since the slaves were "freed", and ever since they were given "equal rights" ( a century later). White people just can't get over their fear of black people. Our prisons are crowded with predominately young black men. The majority of which did not even commit a violent crime. The majority of which are incarcerated because they were using or selling a narcotic substance. Black people are still discriminated against in todays work force. Hear me out before you start bitching about how this is all not true. As a society, white (and rich people) always get the best educations, live in the best neighborhoods, and have the best jobs. Not because they worked hard, but because they were born privileged. Starting out with this giant head start is a great advantage. Subsequently, black people get to start out at the bottom. They live in the worst neighborhoods, go to the worst schools, and end up with the lowest paying jobs. This is not because they are lazy, this is because no one will give them a chance. It is extremely more difficult for a black (or poor white, for that matter) person to rise up and get the best jobs. Black people are not encouraged to become doctors because it is an unrealistic goal for them. They will never get a doctorate while they are working the lowest paid jobs. They will never get better paying jobs while they have a poor education. They will never get a good neighborhood to live in unless they have better jobs. As you can see, they cycle continues. Black people are encouraged to be athletes or rappers. This is their best shot at getting out of the ghetto and escaping a life of poverty. Living life in poverty is hard. It is something you can not understand until you have done it. I like to pretend I am well off but my electricity is getting turned off in two days. I still have it way better then a lot of people and I still show them sympathy. I have had way more opportunities then some of the black people I talk about could imagine. The truth is I blew my chances because I was dumb, they were never even given the chance. When you live in poverty for extended periods of time life becomes very depressing. You turn to drugs and alcohol to help you escape your problems. Those vices are addicting, after the addiction sets in you slip up and get caught and end up in prison. Then life is pretty much over. I also would like to point out several things a black person has never done to me: 1. A black person has never evicted me from my apartment. 2. A black person does not make me stand outside in the cold 33 degree weather while they sit 10 feet away in a heated building. 3. A black person has never "down sized" me. 4. A black person has never stole millions from stock holders. 4. Of the 3 times my cd player was stolen out of my car 2 times it was white people. 5. Every thing stolen from me from now all the way back to when someone stole a hockey puck out of my desk in first grade has been a white person (except the 1 isolated incident mentioned above). 6. A black person has never threatened to sue me. 7. A black person has never moved the company I work for over seas. 8. A black person has never sent poor Americans to die in a war over US corporate interests or oil. 9. A less qualified black person has ever gotten a job we were both contending for. I´m not sure if I really hate some one. Well, as a matter of fact I hate many people but none because of their skin colour, that´s for sure.
Interesting article. The stacks are generally stacked against many blacks but what makes me proud to be a black person is knowing that many of us overcome these odds and prove that inspite of having nothing we have something special within ourselves. Whether that something be a raw drive to excel or a deep, and powerful spirituality, it is far from a cliche when we say 'We Do - and Shall Overcome.'

How can a foreigner from another country who doesn't speak the language, doesn't have any money, and has felt real oppression make it in America? Many Hispanics, Asians, and Europeans are living in worst conditions than the average black person in America before risking their lives and spending great amounts of money to be part of the American dream. Why can they suceed but not black americans. Instead of whinning about a mythical white devil and his plan to keep the black man down why not work hard and promote strong families, education and religion into the black community.
Despite the idealogy of hate and victimization in the black community many blacks have made it to the middle class.
Too make a long story short instead of blaming the white population start to look at your black leaders who do nothing but set the bar lower for young black men, poor schools, bad parenting, weak families and a culture of no accountability. If every other race on the planet can make something of themselves so can you! Good Luck and remember you hold the key to success.
The problem with blacks is a vicious cycle. One starting problem turns into another and then into another. For example, the stereotype that blacks are lazy isn't really true. Blacks couldn't get jobs for a long time after they were "freed" and some turned to other routes. Now that it is easier to get jobs even though the odds are still stacked against them, some have the mentality that they can now only do certain things. They don't have higher hopes b/c for so long they hoped and couldn't reach.
No one is blaming whites, and I don't think blacks should be blamed either. I think the point of the government is to help ALL Americans succeed and have equal opportunities. But over 200 years of slavery plus 100 more years or so of fighting to truly be free can't be undone overnight. There are issues on top of issues on top of issues! Some manage to prevail but everyone can't.
Also, for the record. Asians and others from other countries can move to the united states and get loans easier to open up small business (for example: Nail shops) and blacks can't do that as easily. Explain that and tell me things have changed and that black ppl just need to help themselves.
I think the government needs to help ALL people and WE ALL need to start thinking as Americans and not be so concerned with our individual selves. Think about how much more as a country we could progress if companies would stop sending jobs overseas for cheap labor and if we'd invest more in efficient energy and if we'd stop looking at the color of oe another skin when the only real difference is 1 gene out of 3 million! One thing people have to realize, white or black or rich or poor is that the people who are at the top right now, more specificaly some in our government are mostly doing what they can to keep themselves from losing out. Everyone else gets hurt in the mean while. When that bank bail out money trickles down to the auto makers or the schools, or the poor people, PLEASE let me know. In the mean while, we all need to join together b/c there comes a time when everyone needs a helping hand.
Black people have fucked up all the neigbhorhoods by me. This is just a fact. They have too many kids, have no manners or respect for other people, and get violent quick.10 years ago I was surrounded by completely safe all white neigbhorhoods with TPing and underage smoking and skateboarding being what would pass as huge crime waves. Now you can get robbed, jumped, carjacked, stabbed, held up at gunpoint...
Black culture unfortunately is trashy as hell and promotes uneducated savage behavior. The white people who think the problem isn''t black culture are absolute morons who probably live in predominantly white neighborhoods. I actually used to think just like you did until I experienced first hand just how much of the country and places I knew personally that went to shit because of black people.

ok. as an african american woman, born and raised in a neighborhood that is claimed to be the worse in brooklyn, Bedford-Stuyversant.. i can say that not all black people are lazy, in fact the black people in my neighborhood work more than one job, and still tak care of their kids. I think its so easy for white people to just generalize all blacks because of that they see on t.v. Yea there are some black people out there who do more than stupid things, but the same can be said for white people. And "hip hop " is not the blame for anything. as a white person you would like at it and think that oh yea it is so horrible.. but thats because it is not about "you". Even though we wish everyone could just not include race into anything that fact is that we are living in two different cultures... so of course the hip hop culture would mean nothing to you......
I've lived in/around poverty all my life, still do, so I know it's a cycle that i sh ard to break. I had the opportunity to attend predominantly white and therefore, priveledged/good schools some of the time. Going back home (hood), talking to my friends who didn't have the same advantage was a real eye-opener. We learned different things at the same time in the same grade. A lot of my hood folks didn't have or shared books; I had new shiii every year. I saw clean sidewalks, upgraded desks, teachers with grrrrrreeeat credentials, kids driving being dropped off at school in bmw's and mercedes, who went to the mall shopping...for fun, kids who look forward to a bright future. Teh, again I return home to the hood and other than learning in a good school, things aren't so promising, no college money, nobody around my way with a good job, drity sidewalks, public transportation, low-budget shopping centers with carry-outs, liquor stores, and the dollar store/$10 clothes store...things are definitely different. Those who haven't lived it shouldn't speak on it EVER...unless, it's to offer a helping hand.

I'm a mexican citizen,i crossed the boarder when i was living with my Uncle. i live in lancaster california on jackman.and I been reading some of your comments and replys,It looks like to me all your comments"are racist". not to deffend noone,if your gonna say your a racist just admit it. I wasn't raised to hate,i love every race in this world i have friends who are the same skin color as me but i would love to have friends who are black,asian or white. but in my opinion white people hate more and blame their problems on the black race more than the blacks...you white people are just ugly inside and only hurting yourself. you only hate because you wish you could be that color and that blacks have more to strive than all the rest of you. I disagree with this article b/c well i have no idea which country you are in. But i disagree b/c i live in a black neighborhood and the people there are just rude and complete arses. No, its not the ghetto, rather its more like government housing so it;s not like they're dirt poor. Regardless, they have no respect for other minorities such as asians and arabs and etc. other than their own.
One last thing, i noticed that whenever i'm on a train or even in the mall, its USUALLY the group of black kids that are extremely loud and obnoxious. When someone told them to quiet down and they yelled curses at the man. When you compare a group of asians kids or mexican kids, i'd say that a group of black kids are most often the loudest, some were even singing badly at the top of their lungs disturbing the peace of other people on the train. They have no manners and are rude as hell. I know i'm generalizing but i have met so few good mannered and respectful black people in my life. Now, this is just based on my experiences NOT the media or stereotypes.

As I black male I just wish white people could turn black for about a month and see what we go though on every day bases! This article is not sound. The poor have financial aid and if you're a minority you have more financial aid at many institutions. People don't hate black people just because they're black. The truth of the matter as you pointed out above is that black people choose predominate many of the jails in the US. They choose to commit crimes and the majority of blacks have parents who choose to raise them poorly.
I'll call it a social phenomenon that black people are louder and more disorderly than other races. I believe that it is due to black culture, so the cause of the hatred toward blacks is due to their culture rather than their skin color. I've been to many states in the US and the majority of blacks do seem a bit out-of-line with society in terms of conduct and noise levels. I can't say that black people are any less than other races,but the majority tend to be rude. I would say that this stereotype will change, but every 10 blacks that I see who act civilized (according to actual laws) I see twice as many who are obnoxious.
Of course, I see other people who are noisy and disorderly as well, but the ratios are a lot different. There are many hispanics who obey the law in the towns I've been in (most recently NC and NY) and it just so happens that there are less hispanics that seem to be breaking the laws (littering, noise, and a few bi-laws regarding public transportation that are communicated by the PA systems of public transportation)

This is a completely ignorant article. Maybe the Black community are going through more obstacles on a daily basis than the average White person, but they are not the only ones! Compared to say the Asian minorities (whom, might I add, are constantly being belittled for being Asians - ching chong anyone?) or the Mexican/European community who HAVE achieved success in U.S., the Blacks are just deluding themselves in thinking that they have it the worst. Please, all these I'm in a bad community, in a bad neighborhood, in a bad living area, have low education excuses are bullocks! I tell you what. I'm an Asian American who has lived (and still am) living in the 'hood, who has immigrant parents working as chefs from 6 am till 12 am, who has 2 little sisters to take care of, and now have a retiree dad and a disabled mom. I've been in public school systems all my life - very black/hispanic oriented, fights break out everyday -(accepted into a prestigious high school) and am now in a state-funded university to get my nursing degree so that I can get a job when I'm out and possibly continue my education so that I can earn more. You want to sympathize BLACK people?!?! Sympathize the rest of us, not just the Blacks. I've made a better life for myself, without excuses, so BLACK people can do so as well.
I can't believe how badly-behaved Black people. To this day I still see them behaving horribly. Just yesterday, my sister's game card was stolen by a little black girl, who refused to admit that she did, and when I spoke to her, the mother accosted me and lied to me about her daughter not stealing my sister's stuff. I've already reported this incident to the authorities; it seems that THAT's the only way to monitor and regulate these people. Bunch of hoodlums who think that they are OWNED something just because their ancestors were slaves once. I NEVER did anything to them, none of my race nor my country (in fact, the same ones benefiting them at the moment IS China), yet ironically, WE'RE the ones most ridiculed by them.
