Why you should not use free PLR articles...
51You've heard the saying... "Content is King."
We all know that by now. Your website, blog, autoresponder is like a little baby... it needs to be feed with new content to keep your visitors (and the search engines) happy.
It's a fact that your subscribers want quality stuff... and you better give it to them, or they will go somewhere else to get it.
But where do you find great content?
1) You can create it yourself.
If you know much about your niche, it's not so hard to come up with an interesting subject, and you can write a short article about a problem that you can solve.
But what if you don't want to waste time on the writing, or lack the knowledge to do it?
2) Then Private Label Rights are the easiest solution.
But beware of using cheap (or even free) PLR packages. If you use these PLR articles, you will get penalized by the search engines, as the SE's don't like duplicate content, and your site or blog may be dropped by Google or Yahoo.
So, always look for quality PLR packages, and be ready to pay for it.
Check that the PLR packages are only sold to a small number of people. Many PLR sites have 500-1500 members- this means that you are not getting exclusive PLR rights, and hundreds of other people are going to use the same content.
You can also rent a ghostwriter at Elance, and ask for exclusive PLR rights, so you know that nobody else will use them.
This will help your business to grow and attract interested traffic/clients.

Great comment, Steve, it's so sad to see people using PLR content as it comes.

Thanks for the Hub Dirk.
I think that PLR content is an awesome way to easily fill that content-starved baby.
But as soon as I hear PLR, I do not think of quality or the number of people that have that exact same content...
I think of something that after a bit of editing on my part I have a ONE-OWNER, NEVER DRIVEN BEFORE piece of content that the search engines are eager to get ahold of.
Now I could be wrong - Lord knows I've been wrong before - but for me whether the PLR comes from hi-quality stock, a free giveaway or even a freelancer I just paid to write it for me, I still plan to add my own 'personality' by doing a bit of editing.
I just did not have to do any of the research, keyword tweaking or any of the 'hard work' involved in the writing process.
Thanks again for the Hub & your 'Quick-Start Guide To Writing Profitable Articles'
