...and a few thoughts crossed my mind

#1. Those are some BIG shoes to fill. You may just jinx Tyra's career making claims like that. She is still relatively new to the game and making such a comparison could really mess her up.

#2. Their target audiences are very different. I do not think this comparison is valid, because of that.

#3. It's like comparing Craig Ferguson to David Letterman. He's new, and maybe he wants to carve his own path in the wilderness. Making such grandiose comparisons between the two is a disservice to them both.
