Morbid Fascination

Are you like me? Do you have a morbid fascination for things that should be commonplace, but aren't? Do you find you just have to look, even when it makes you sick?!

My daughter showed me this site, and I just could not stop looking! This site has a collection of some of the grossest (or best, depending on your outlook) food I have ever seen.

Just go to:

http://thisiswhyyourefat.com/

It states "Where dreams become heart attacks". Dreams...more like nightmares if you ask me!

I don't know what to think, but here are some of the highlights!

The Meat Ship

Made from bacon, sausages, pastry, franks and pork mince.

(via supersizedmeals)

Were do I start?  The bacon sails...the sausage masts...how about the mince?  What the heck is mince?!

Turbaconucken

A chicken inside a duck inside a turkey, all wrapped in bacon.

(via nycfoodguy)

Why did the chicken go inside the duck?  How did the duck get inside the turkey??  WHAT'S GOING ON!!!!

Bacon Cheese Pizza Burger

Giant burger between two large meat pizzas, eggs, bacon, colby and pepper jack cheese.

(submitted by Dustin Schirer via facebook)

This is one giant pizza!  The giant burger wasn't enough, we had to have the large meat pizzas also.  Will it even fit in the mouth of anything other than an anaconda?

Heart Attack Sandwich

Chicken fried steak, chicken-fried bacon, a country sausage, a fried egg, a fried green tomato topped with cheddar cheese and sandwiched between buns toasted in bacon fat, all served with a gravy dipping sauce.

(submitted by rcoder via flickr)

All that, AND gravy dipping sauce...ahhh, dreams of heartburn running through my head!

12 Bird True Love Roast

Contains 12 different kinds of bird: large turkey filled with goose, chicken, pheasant, aylesbury and barbary duck, poussin and guinea fowl, partridge, pigeon squab, quail and mallard duck. Breast meat from 48 different birds + 8 types of stuffing.

(submitted by Tom Gibbs via healfarm)

Thanksgiving for the family that can't agree!

Obesity trends in the USA

I guess people really do eat this stuff!

Hot Beef Sundae

(via deleteyourself)

Talk about convenience, now you can have your hot beef sundae day or night!  Just run down to the corner machine and enjoy.

Corn Dog Pizza

(via flickr)

Hey Angelo, this one's for you!  Not traditional, but very, very bizarre!  Who thinks these combinations up?!

The Kitchen Sink

(via supersizedmeals)

Is this person really eating out of a sink? How many gallons do you think are in there?

Krispy Kreme Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburgers

(via peetypassion)

I'm sorry, this one just makes me gag!  It looks like some have already been eaten...UGH.

Candied Bacon Ice Cream

(via davidlebovitz)

Again, who thinks of these things...and who is actually making these concoctions?  I guess I am not very creative, I would never think of making ice cream from bacon.

These were just a few of the featured foods available at this site.  Go check it out for yourself.  Me...I need to go find a bucket!

Most of this stuff looked disgusting!!! I have heard of bacon in chocolate, too! YUCK!! I don't think fast food is to blame for obesity...I think it's the people that came up with these foods.

Thanks for showing some very interesting combinations! Can't say I'll be trying any of them, but it was fun to see them. :)

I'm repulsed by the photos, yet curious.... I think if presented the chance I would dive into the temptation of power munching such different culinary delights.

As much as I love food, am surpised that I'm not one of those folks who get forklifted out of his house.

Wow, how do you eat these without feeling....ummm....greasy? I realize fat is what makes things tasty, but these take that to an extreme. Honestly, I think seeing enough images like this make you want a big old salad.

Interesting. Looks like Fair food. I couldn't eat this but I bet it all taste good. I'm heading for a heart cath in couple weeks (something that scares the you know what out of me) I'm sure my doctor would have a fit if I even thought about eating any of this.

Enjoyed your hub.

He'd probably have a fit knowing you even looked at it! Oh well, what he doesn't know...Good luck on the cath!

YUCK! A single Krispy Creme was always an indulgence while sitting through a boring meeting. Never again! I could not see a Krispy Creme withouth thinking of this picture! Wonderfully horrible pictures!

We had a Krispy Creme in our town for about a year. I'm assuming they probably all do this, but maybe not.....but they would offer you a free fresh donut while you waited in line. By the time we got to the register we only ordered a drink. I think everyone was doing that. We were getting the free one and not buying any. Who could eat more than one of them?

k@ri profile image

I have seen more than one eaten at a time...not by me, they are toooo sweet! Thanks for reading KCC Big Country!

Actually partook of a turducken once during Thanksgiving at a friend's house. A boneless chicken stuffed inside a duck stuffed inside a turkey. Pretty tasty! Most of the things you showed on this site looked pretty disgusting! Might be a good diet aide actually. Ha!

Submitted the above comment twice for some reason. I agree with several who say a salad looks really good after viewing these photos.

Peggy, You never mentioned...how did turducken taste? I definitely find the site to be a great diet aid! After looking at the food, I am too sick to eat anything.

goldentoad, Maybe a FEW beers....

Hi K@ri, this is so ridiculous I can't even see this garbage. But I have seen people eating it. All of it is a good source for heart attack & stroke.

I don't think compu-smart you want all that just stay in shape but choice is your's.

k@ri profile image

k@ri  says:

Mr. Nice, Ridiculous, I agree! When I feel like eating unhealthy foods, I come and look...suddenly the cravings go away!

I need to make another cardiologist appt just for looking at the pictures.

Greasy indeed, KCC!! We have a Krispy Kream--yeah they give free ones for going in. When they first opened, they had to have police officers on site because of the fights that would break out. One guy got run over because they hired people to stand at the busiest intersection in town and hand out boxes of a dozen donuts to those waiting at the stop light. Ridiculous is right!!!!

k@ri--you know the most interesting things......

k@ri profile image

k@ri  says:

Thanks Proud Mom...I can't take the credit for this one...my daughter showed me the site.

That's some interesting Krispy Kream history! Imagine going to the hospital and telling the docs, "Well, I was trying to get my box of Krispy Kreams when I was run down". They may be more dangerous than a heart attack! :)
