In today world, you get tired of hearing the gossip about the same people doing the exact same things. No matter whether you are at school, work, sitting in your driveway drinking a margarita, someone is always talking either about you or someone else that they know. I have come to trust very few people over the years because most are out for themselves. Why do people like to gossip, it gives them a sense of importance, falsly builds up their own weaknesses and make them feel or be perceived as desirable. So why celebs. Well, our own lives and those of others we see everyday get boring. Celebs is a sense a way for us to still gossip and make us feel as though we are like them in a way and that certaing things that they do are o.k. ex, the partying with Lohan, Spears, and Hilton, this is giving the wrong impression to the teens who have both grown up with and looked up to them as role models. This is putting off the wrong signal to the fans. Too many young kids and teens are couch potatoes these days turning to tv and internet and believe it or not, they learn from and in a way want to be like their idols, it is a cool thing. It has been like this for years. We want to act, dress, etc..in the same way as our number one fan. By keeping up with the gossip on these 3 for instance, gives the impression that this is normal behavior for this age group and even though parent do not think so, teenagers have their own mind sets. With Anna nicole, etc..it is interesting, it is like a soap opera to those who love them. You never know how they are going to turn out. Stars are people just like each and everone of us and the only difference is that they are famous. They make mistakes just as we do and in the case of Hilton going to jail, Ana nicole, Ritchie, Lohan, etc..they all have problems, struggle and their consequences for their actions and behaviors are now starting to show that no-one in invinsible...you play the game, you pay! In turn, I truly hope that celeb gossip will have a more positive outcome than negative in that they are now having to take responsibilities for their own actions. They should not receive special treatment for who they are, this send the wrong message to especially the young community of fans.
