There can be a lot of confusion for those new to the craft - and even for those currently practicing it regarding Wicca & Witchcraft.

The best way to differentiate the two is to know that you can be Wiccan and not be a Witch that practices Witchcraft.

And you can be a Witch and not be Wiccan.

You can be both.

Or you can be neither.

So if you are interested in Witchcraft and choose to call yourself a Witch - you are not automatically practicing Wicca - that is a credible and loving Pagan Religion that works as one with the Universal Energies.

What is also interesting to note is that Witchcraft which has been practiced over many centuries and can actually be found in most religions (not just pagan religions!).

Whereas Wicca as we know it today was popularized by Gerard Garner in 1954 and it is believed that Wiccan Theology was compiled no earlier than the 1920's.

So the knowledge I would like you to walk away with from having read this, is that YOU can choose to be Wiccan, you can choose to practice Witchcraft. You can choose to be involved with both, one, the other or neither.

That is the beauty too of The Craft and with Wicca - both come from a heart space and are about working with the universal energies and nature - and as we know with nature - there is abundance, joy and flexibility. As opposed to rigidity, fear and anger that unfortunately seen in so much of modern society today and in many people's lives.
