Wiccan Spells - What Makes Them So Powerful?

Wiccan Spells are slightly different to Witchcraft spells, in that they originate from the Pagan religion known as Wicca.

This pagan religion has been around since 1954 and was founded by Gerald Gardner (however it's origins date back to the 1920's and much of it is based on the ancient tenets of witchcraft).

Wiccan itself works very much with the energies of the Universe and Nature, as does witchcraft.

It is important for you to also know that you can be a follower of Wicca (a Wiccan) and not be a practicing witch (practicing witchcraft & spell work).

You can of course be both. And it is also worth knowing that Witchcraft itself is a word used to describe many forms and cultures of magickal practice. In some cultures they may be called a Shaman, a Witch Doctor, the wise woman...there are many names given to what is essentially witchcraft.

With Wicca, and if you are deciding to use witchcraft, and want to use Wiccan Spells in particular, these will generally have the word or reference to wicca in them.

I like Wiccan Spells, because of their close link to nature. As the beauty of Wicca is that it very much has a respectful 'live and let live' philosophy, working WITH elements, and coming from an open hearted place - which IS essentially what witchcraft is about.

There is such misinformation out there about Witchcraft and Wicca, and it is something I am passionate and committed to dispel.

True Witchcraft. Wicca. Spell work - ALL come from a loving, open hearted place. There is no such thing as 'black magic' - it is more a reflection of people who are deeply unhappy and believe that they can derive comfort from hurting another - which in fact only results in adding more pain to their own souls.

It is for that reason that true witches - wiccan, kitchen, green, white...whatever description they choose to go by - do NOT perform any dark or black magic spells.

Goddess Protection Spell

Items you will need:

• Salt
• Water
• Power Oil (Petitgrain, clove and juniper essential oils in equal quantities)
• White Candle
• White parchment paper
• A silver blue pouch
• Jasmine incense
• Medium sized clear quartz crystal

Add nine pinches of salt to the water, saying:

Salt and water now combine. Protect my heart, protect my mnd. Dark evil forces now fade away. So that Good shall always come my way.

Now sprinkle the mixture of salt water around the area in which you are working. Next, inscribe the pentragram symbol onto the parchment, which acts as a protection symbol.

At this point anoint the candle with the power oil and place it on the tip of the parchment paper.

Light the jasmine incense. Pick up the crystal and pass it through the smoke of the incense as you say the following:

Goddess of the moon I call upon thee. For all of your love and blessings. Great Mistress of all magic protect me. Give me your power in this hour of need.

Allow the candle to burn for one hour (do not leave unattended). Extinguish the candle with a snuffer and place the parchment, vial of oil, and the crystal into the pouch and carry it with you.

When you feel the negative enegies coming at you, rub the oil on your solar plexus and hold the crystal in your power hand (your writing hand).

Repeat the spell once a month, on the night of the new moon (darkened) for contined protection.
