Wii Game Party

Nintendo hit a gold mine with their release of the Wii system. As a matter of fact, they are on a roll with the release of new games, one after another.

One of which is the eagerly anticipated "Wii Game Party." This is scheduled for release early in the year. Game Party comes from Midway and is the collection of seven social games that are played all over the world.

Therefore, gamers of any race can relate.

The games are played by using the Wii Remote in order to do the actions that actually make the gamer feel that he is really playing these games in real-life.

The Wii Game Party includes darts, shuffleboard, air hockey, hoop shot, pining cup, skill ball and trivia challenge.

The games can be played by two to four players and just like the games in real-life, these are mostly turn-based. The games allow you to earn the tickets, just like

when you are playing these in the carnival. Those tickets are used to unlock the additional characters that the gamers can control in playing the game.

Here is a quick run-down of the games in Wii Game Party:

Air Hockey is not played from the perspective of the character chosen by the games. It takes some getting used to because it views the table from the side where the

Wii remote is pointed. It depends on which direction the gamer wants to control his hand. The first one to score seven goals wins.

Darts is a difficult game to play. The controls might seem simple on paper but once the gamer actually plays it, it is tricky. The gamer uses the Wii Remote

to point which area in the board they want to hit. They press the A button to log the target and hold the remote as if they were holding a dart and thrust it as if they were actually throwing it.

The gamer must have the right amount of strength and trajectory in order to throw it right.

Hoop Shot lets gamers repeatedly throw basketball and is one of the easiest games in the Wii Game Party.

The gamer will just make simple throwing motions using the remote and because

the distance between him and the hoops does not change, he just has to repeat the action over and over.

Ping Cup is like beer pong. Only difference is that this is alcohol free. The cups are arranged in triangular form

and the gamer must land a ping pong ball in a cup from the opposite end., Bonus points are given if the ball bounces before it

finds the way inside the cup and if the gamer lands the balls in consecutive attempts. The controls are like those of in Darts. The gamer

controls the remote in underarm as opposed to overarm.

Shuffleboard is a game wherein two players try to slide the metal pucks across a table. At the same time, they do their best to prevent

their opponent from doing the same thing. Each player has four pucks and they throw these by thrusting the Wii remote forward.

They can also use this to knock the pucks of their opponents off the table.

Skill Ball is a carnival game that rolls the balls up a chute and launches it into the air. There are different points depending on which

hole the ball falls into.

Trivia is performed by spinning the Wii Remote in order to spin the wheel. There are six categories and the player who chooses the right answer out of the four selections is declared the winner.

Expect the Wii Game Party to be a hit for gamers worldwide.
