Who Plays Wii? Nintendo Wii Sucks - Console Game History Redux
78
The Nintendo Wii game system right now might be seen as the "best" next generation console, beating PS3 vs Wii units sold worldwide by 18+ million and Xbox 360 vs Wii by 12.5+ million units as of November 4, 2008, but that does not mean it's the twist in gaming development the world's been waiting for. I'm not arguing that Sony or Microsoft should be crowned in the next gen round either, far from it, but Nintendo really pulled off a tricky stunt that everyone fell (and continues to fall) wrist over arm for.
Slam 1 - Wii Hardware Specs
Of course, Nintendo plans to proceed "undercutting" next gen competition by not allowing gamers to compare hardware specs. We do know that the Wii follows the same basic architecture as Nintendo's GameCube with about 1.5 to 2x more processing power - that's about 1 Ghz at the most for processing, maybe 250 Mhz for graphics, and 512 MB flash memory. I know I'm not listing all the details, but this just provides a rough comparison. The PS3 comes with a 3.2 Ghz processor and 550 Mhz GPU. Xbox 360 contains 3 cores running at 3.2 Ghz and 500 Mhz GPU. I don't even need to provide the additional cross comparison differences, the Wii might as well be a previous generation console.
Wii also doesn't come equipped with other features of the two systems:
Hardrives - provide faster load times, space to download content, and eliminate the need for memory cards.
DVD Playback - I mean, last gen DVD playback bit the big one, but if the system uses DVD discs for its games, Nintendo might as well allow it to play DVDs as well. And even CDs for that matter!
HD Support & 1080p Resolution - I know not everyone made the HD television switch yet, including myself, but it's coming and Nintendo should be prepared. Why waste the gaming potential of this gen's systems? Of course... unless Wii possesses limited potential in the first place.
Blu-Ray - I know, I know, a Sony exclusive. Well, not anymore! Blu-Ray won the force people to switch from DVD war and its one major hardware advantage the PS3 garners over the Wii and the Xbox 360.
Yes, at least the Wii comes equipped with Wi-Fi. But few games really utilize it, few people can handle the agony of interacting with Nintendo's online interface, and Nintendo still hides in the dark about all the promised online features of the system. Like "instant on" - what really uses that? And to what end?
The Wii also offers the most user-friendly development kit... and I wonder why?
Lets face it, the Wii already belongs in a museum. We don't need to follow Cartman into the future and fight talking sea otters to realize that.
But wait! What about Wii's unique controller, the Wiimote?
Slam 2 - Innovational Retrograde
Sure, the Wiimote uses a sensor to allow movement detection and different ways to interact with the game. Well, remember Duck Hunt? Super Scope 6? I could shoot things on those devices too and with my NES and SNES no less. But now we can bowl, and box, and play tennis in the comforts of our living rooms. Or we could just bowl, and box, and play tennis out-doors, requiring real physical activity... playing the real game. And guess what, playing sports the way humans intended actually proves to be more fun, more interactive, and more challenging. Will everyone mindlessly join together to celebrate Nintendo downgrading our old pastimes?
Genuine innovation requires more than mediocre replacements for sports and some kiddy games where the family can fling their arms around and hope they don't fling their Wiimotes into the face of a loved one.
Nintendo also ignored the passing of time and Sony and Microsoft's adaptability. Consoles designed to be upgraded, to evolve. PS3 already somewhat utilizes movement in its controller and soon will be unleashing its own brand of true motion sensor features. We're talking about Sony, an electronics powerhouse who already worked on numerous prototypes for gaming, including movement sensor arrays that could coordinate physical movements with fighting games - without a remote or controller. Microsoft, although the controller might involuntarily explode in your hand, can easily do the same. One day, the Wii's "innovation" will be mimicked by the other two systems, leaving it with little but its exclusives and platform games on a dwarfed machine.
Slam 3 - Cool Wii Games?
The Wii hosts all best sellers from the traditional Nintendo library - Metroid, Mario, Smash Brothers, Zelda, and Mario Kart - but these same games might as well be close sequels to their GameCube predecessors. Again, very small upgrades, some not even needing to use the Wiimote at all. Super Smash Bros. Brawl actually works best with the GameCube controller and Mario Kart's wheel should be considered a joke.
The rest of the Nintendo catalogue offers a plethora of disappointing third party titles that ineffectively use the Wiimote, if at all, and cross platformer titles that the system can hardly do justice to. Take for example the stripped down Wii version of Rock Band, similar to the PS2 release (ah, last gen). No world tour, no new downloadable content, less character customization, no fan building. Every new addition Harmonix added on to Rock Band to make it progress beyond the shell of Guitar Hero will be eliminated from the Wii version.
As for the backwards compatibility... Nintendo might as well of released its new platformers on the GameCube to begin with. And concerning all the downloadable retro games, a nice touch... but aren't we suppose to be moving forward? Progressing? Sounds like Nintendo thinks the best way to innovate would be to take a step back... way back.
The Wii Debunked
Nintendo Wii sucks and it will an interesting mark on console game history. I would not go so far as to call the Wii a novelty and I am glad Nintendo finally found a way to jump into the market after releasing the N64 too late and not switching to discs, doing the same for the GameCube and not offering enough of a powerhouse along with ignoring the importance of third party companies. However, this time I think Nintendo focused too much on the short term, and while the differences of the three systems may not seem so great right now, and the Wiimote keeps casual gamers entertained, in the near future Sony's and Microsoft's games will start to push the limit of their systems. With more effort from gaming companies, the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 could possibly appear to be several generations ahead of the Wii and that sounds like a huge leap in the wrong innovational direction to me.

wii is better it gives you more options your not just sitting down pressing buttons your doing the motions and wii also have good games to like(the bigs smackdown vs. raw transformers and much more for everyone) you dont think xbox 360 and ps3 have crap games then your wrong
Wii games suck!!!!! All those games are for babies
How in my life i'm ganna play iCarly, hanna montana, or spongebob games???? That's for babies
each to their own. but obviously your opinion is in the minority.
wow can you say 360 fanboy look the wii is an upgrade from the gamecube yes sony and microsoft have more powerful hardware but if you look back at the 16bit era all the systems with the so called better hardware got beat down by the powerhouse call the snes and remember the ps1 was orignally designed by nintendo nintendo has proven that the best graphics and expensive hardware doesn't make the best games it is gameplay and fun factor that determines what people will buy hell the 360 is really no better than the old xbox and the ps3 is still competing with the ps2 how sad is that i like my ps3 yes sony and microsoft are coming out with there own motion control systems but they have to piggy back off of nintendo hell microsoft hired a certain someone because he showed that the wiimote can be used for a whole lot of applications and they wanted to know how nintendo did it think about it nintendo had the forsight to know that motion control gives you better gameplay hell sony's new controllers use the same axis movement detection as the nunchuck so while you try to bash the wii it is still going to kick the 360's butt stop hatin and admit that it is a quality system for a wide range of people
xbox360 and ps3 are next gen, wii is last gen. straight up the wii simply sucks retarded games like hannah montanna and baby bash graphics that look like the inside of a goats butt and horrid online play
If you are looking for innovation, try the Nintendo DS.
It is surprising the quantity and quality of DS games. They are innovative, creative and exciting.
DS console, may not be as POWERFUL as any of the home consoles, but its far way fun that any of those including the Wii(except for the multiplayers).
The Wii is great, when talking of multiplayer games.
I think that what many players really want, is great gameplay, great story, emotions, and a touch of fantasy on their games, instead of realism and repetitive and frustrating levels or missions.
You seem to hate the Wii so much, just because you don“t understand, why people just want to have fun for fun, regardless of the console "POWER", or the new technologies it has, or anythig you said before;
THEGECKO, I WANT YOU TO KNOW, WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT THAT
I am already tired of FPS, Racing, or Sports videogames. I want true innovation.
oh and if you are about to insult microsoft and sony adding motion sensors: microsoft made their own versions of miis and last time i checked they were a lot better than the miis.
I find it funny that you wiitards always rant about the part when people insult the graphics, and only that. Did you forget that he also talked about the controls and games on it? Also he forgot to mention this, but nintendo has a poor excuse for online play. They finally added voice chat, but seriously, a speaker?! and for animal crossing?! And i also wish nintendo would make a new game series, because the other two consoles keeep adding new games, not the same old ones. yes i know that they are classic games, but their plots are constantly reused and they get boring once you beat them. and who cares what the sales are? these are opinions, and the fact that the wii sells the most does not mean it's "better", because that is simply an opinion. and i'm pretty sure most of those sales are towards kids. but im not saying the wii sucks, it's a great family console and good for parties, but that i prefer the other two. when i bought my wii after a few months it got so boring i traded it in for a 360, and i have never regretted that decision.
misthaven, its not leaching, its rip-off artist, and if you flied the airplane in Idindiana Jones and the staff of kings,or whipped/punched/threw bad guy in fish thank, you friek'n are hanging by at thread. Just by a SID card of whatever its called for faster respond+Brawl is rated 10 of 1-10. :-P and wii sports resort is A++ senor and has fencing, water skiing, others, and a free $20 wii motion plus. People play to aviod learning. so they play right then when they WANT to. Plus class=more than $999 to master. with wii, in seconds, you can play, and you look like a master. new meaning to VR. Plus wii fitness helps people loose wait. A guy lost 50+ pounds! and what about wii channels, HHHMMMM? I bet you LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEE them. As for graphics no one needs them. Donkey Kong is a great classic. and pacman-bad graphics-yet people like it. So what? Xbox 360 has Halo 3. Halo combat involved is better if with worse graphics. PS3 is the same as PS2 with bluray + memory. Wii is the best
Ok, seriosly? I read the 1st paragraph, then I stopped reading. nothing you or anyone says will stop us from playing the Wii.
I think Nintendo has took a giant step up from the gamecube. the gamecube was just like the past 3 systems, and personally, I think most of the major games on it were a bit childish, with all the bright colors and cel shading.
(like Super Mario Sunshine and Zelda wind waker)
the gamecube was the least selling system in nintendo history. but look at the Wii, games for all ages! sequils of many great games (SSB, Mario Kart, Super mario 64) and brand new awsome games (Boom Blox, De Blob) !!
As for graphics, WHO CARES??? it only makes the game a little more real. I have a feeling the PS3 mabey focusing more on graphics than on gameplay. think about it this way:
Gameplay and graphics are like Ice cream and sprinkles.
if a game is very good, but have bad graphics (Super mario brothers on NES) than you have a bowl of plain ol' ice cream Good, right? but if a different game has realistic graphics but a terrible plot or bad gameplay, it's just a bowl of sprinkles. ick. but if a game has good graphics AND good gameplay it has a bowl of ice cream with sprinkles. yum!!
Don't get me wrong, some people may LOVE a bowl of sprinkles. they only want a game that looks real.
Thats not me. in fact I don't like sprinkes in any way.
I love the NES, SNES, N64(my fav), gamecube and Wii!!! ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!
the PS3 is WAAAAY to expencive. They don't see this economy right now!!!! $700?????? NOO!!!!!!!!!
Xbox is okay, they lowerd to $200 alongwith the Wii.
in conclusion, PS3 is not very good (but not a waist) the
360 is better, the Wii beats all.
and let me answer you're question, thegecko.
who plays Wii?
everyone.
It's funny that you're trying to knock the Wii, when it's sold the most out of all three systems, and has both Sony and Microsoft trying to leech off of its Motion Control gameplay.
Out of all three companies, Nintendo continues to innovate. Yeah it doesn't have the graphics, but who cares? That's the problem with most Western gamers, and the reason why we don't get all the best games.
Thanks, but I'll stick with my Wii.
I think the Wii is good for kids but there isnt really anything special about it for older players. I think most players will stay with the PS3 or Xbox360
i have to say, away from the previous debate, that I have a Wii and everybody i know has either a PS3 or Xbox 360 so I've played them both a lot. The 360 and PS3 are pretty much the same as the previous gen consoles with better graphics and media players (I am jealous of the 360 media centre mind you but not so much the PS3's media capabilities, who really watches Blu-Ray anyway?).
For my money the Wii is the better option of all 3 by a long way with the 360 second because of the media streaming capabilities, games wise the Wii has no competition in terms of innovation and being fun. Not just for the people playing it, have you ever watched somebody play Wii? it's almost as much fun as playing it yourself. I got a Wii fit yesterday and it is the most fun I have ever had playing a console and I sweated buckets too. It's more fun than playing Mario kart multiplayer, Goldeneye deathmatches or Fifa until 4am in an all night pot smoking session and it doesn't feel like 'just a way to kill time' like most consoles have and continue to do. The retro games in the Wii shop are also a ton of fun, maybe more-so for me because i love to dig out my master system from time to time and play Wonderboy or any other such game that were just fun to play!
I do have gripes with the Wii though, for one the games do look inferior to the other next gen consoles and on a lot of games the Wii remote thingy can be more of a hinderence than an innovation, it's only really Nintendo and maybe a couple of other third party developers that really know how to make games for it because the development isn't as standard as with the 360 or PS3, so i've been struggling to find games that meke the most of the new control system. As there's the Wii classic controller available developers could easily make some straight forward games using that instead of feeling the need to have you flick your wrist to shoot in Fifa or some other gimmick, gimmick btw is what 80-90% of the Wii games boil down too and I say that from experience.
But if for nothing else you have to praise Nintendo for breaking the status quo of developing games that are the same as the previous gen consoles but with better graphics and textures and more characters on screen, not to mention the battle Sony and Microsoft seem too be having to see who can fit the most buttons and joypads on their controllers, and Sonys' motion thing on theirs? wtf is that supposed to do? My mate got condemned for the PS3 and it took me 20 minutes to suss the controls, any Wii game I can pick up a pad and play straight away without having to go through a tutorial session that should come with an NVQ certificate at the end of it.
BBCi player on the Wii too.
i have nintendo wii, and im glad. i coulndt go to a bowling place, so, thanx to wii, i can play bowling on my own house. i think that is better nintendo wii because this nintendo is like other nintendos, you press buttons, but the diference is that you can move and exercise without paying a thing. I think you just made that up from your oppinion, mean, i think you didin't even investigate about wii! all you say is so false! and dont compare wii from all thies stupid games! wii is unique. in the whole history if nintendos, i think this is the best nintendo ever, in makes your brain think (by moving because if you move, the blood of the body goes faster and thats good because it it makes you analize things better), it helps you exercise if you dont have the recuirement with you, and it makes you be better on many other things!!!
even my mom likes it! she loves playing mario karts ( she never had the chanse to ride a car). and the better thing, you can become more social! because you can invite friends to play or on a bithday there could be challenges and then it wouldnt be usefull to contract a stupid clown or people like that.
the mario kart weel is not a joke. it makes the game be funner and much more real.
so my conclution:
nintendo wii is the best nintendo ever.
Actually only 15% of households in the US use dial-up:

As far as the graphics... in the long run, the PS3 can outperform the XBox 360 and extremely outperform the Wii. It's just a matter of time. While gaming companies are still trying to figure out how to utilize the hardware, things will lag a bit. Because of shading techniques etc implemented by Wii games, it doesn't seem as apparent yet. Wii still can't compete with the other two consoles in this area however, and it won't reach the huge jump PS3 and XBox 360 will over their predecessors.
I'm not saying the Wii isn't competitive, it's dominating the console market. I'm just debating that Nintendo could have aimed higher =D
I have faith though that a future version of the Wii will be released as an upgrade, like similar upgrades performed by Sony and Micorsoft, that will deliver a system that possesses similar potential as the other two systems. I have little doubt Nintendo is already planning to step up and keep pace now that they've tasted success again.
I do <3 Nintendo :)
Dude, Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Brothers have amazing graphics in comparison to GameCube. I think one thing that isn't acknowledged enough is that looking real does not equate to good graphics and you don't need incredible amounts of power to create good graphics. In my opinion, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker had some of the best, if not, the best graphics of the past console war. Okami was also amazing on the PS2, and about the same on the Wii. In fact, Okami on the Wii is very competitive with Resistance 1 and a bunch of other games on the 360 and PS3. Now, I'm not glorifying it as much as you'd think. I mean, the graphics in Gears 1 & 2, Bioshock, and LittleBigPlanet are indeed superior to Okami.
Also, your point on hardware is somewhat flawed. Yes, you will need to buy your SD cards, but only for your Shop channel stuff. If you never use the Wii Shop Channel, a good percent of the population uses dial-up still, then the space in there is sufficient.
I also disagree with your thoughts on Mario Kart and the Wii Wheel, the controls are VERY clean and easy.
hi i want to buy wii sports for the wii games
Yeah, I don't like how there is so much focus on FPS and sports games now either and the other action game seem to be mediocre at best. This gen's lineup of RPGs hardly compares to any previous portfolio. For us older gamers, its like the industry is becoming stale... they need to really break the mold and stop focusing the same formula with better graphics. Nintendo is saying its headed in that direction, I just don't see it yet. It's not enough.
Im glad to hear that you didnt take offence to my comment.
and I agree with you that all three have issues. I've heard that Microsoft and sony are not going to release a new console on a 5 year cycle anymore, and I've heard nothing about this from nintendo, but Im not sure if that was just a rumor.
to me gaming just hasnt been the same since Microsoft developed a console and sega left the hardware business... I'll admit I have a lot of biases against modern gaming and types of games (such as an overabundance of FPS and sports games)
however I tried to keep that out of my initial comment, although there are a few parts where you can see it seep through.
I still have some hope for console gaming, and even PC gaming, although the PC scene is moving slower then ever before, losing PC titles (like GTA) to consoles... I guess that IS where the money is these days, and thats precisely the problem with gaming...
theres more money made in games casual gamers would enjoy than those of us who remain hardcore...
Hey spiroth10,
Thanks for leaving such a passionate and lengthy comment. Your response is the type I'm aiming for.
Right now I definitely agree with you. Nintendo has the best console out there with the best games. I think over time I've enjoyed Nintendo's platformers more than any other set of console games. However, I don't think Nintendo has changed the formula much in these games, they're just slightly improved version of the same old same old.
I also loved the GC and felt that given its specs compared to the other two systems, it loaded much faster, was the most stable, and for games that were originally designed for the GC, also looked a step above the other two.
I guess for me the Wiimote is not innovative enough, it's not used in enough games and in enough ways to really push the bar. I believe Nintendo might have been short sighted in thinking that the Wii will be a great long term strategy because Sony most likely will adapt and introduce a similar technology and it has the time to do it.
While the Wii commands developers to be more efficient and the Wii kit making more cost effective and easier to design games, the Wii will hit its limit much sooner than the PS3. What the PS3 has is time... the system might host way more power than developers can use right now, but someday they will harness it. This might be in part, other than poor sales, why games continue to come out on the PS2. PS3 has the most room to expand, and most experts believe that it will be around several years, if not more, after Microsoft and Nintendo feel it necessary to release a more advanced system.
But, and I'm probably going to write an article about this, I don't find any of the three systems appealing, just to dispel your perceived bias. I think the XBox 360 is a host to constant malfunction, the Wii does not offer enough quality games and focuses on the past to hold it up in the future, and the game library for the PS3 is dismal... I mean, how many racing games do I really want to play?
There is also hope for the Wii... it is very possible that in a year or two Nintendo could release and upgraded version that is more powerful. The original Wii is cheap enough and popular enough that people would buy the new one being able to keep their old games and take advantage of the new features. However, Nintendo still needs to create something revolutionary to impress me, something outside the box.
I'd like to say I strongly disagree with you...
your entire focus seems to be on the power of other consoles vs. the wii. let me put it this way, back in the day, programmers needed real skill at optimizing code to get great looking games, these days, hardware manufacturers baby developers by giving them more power then they really NEED to get the job done.
look at the developers of the original DOOM (John and Adrian Carmack) both of them were excellent coders, esp. adrian. they made extreme efforts to copy the side scrolling used in mario bros. 3 in a demo, because in their day PCs weren't considered powerful enough for it.
that might not seem relevent, but the fact is that it was possible. I want you to take a good look at games like metroid prime 3 and super smash bros brawl. They do take advantage of the wii's strength over the gamecube, and graphically, they are pleasing as well. the developers dont NEED all the power otehr consoles are given, and by stripping it down to functionality that is actually necessary, they can cut consumer prices down.
comparing the wiimote to the super scope and NES blaster?!?!!? thats ludicris, the technology is entirely different. Those older peripherals worked on much simpler terms. all the NES light blaster did was search for a white spot on the screen in front of it. Dont believe me? check out an old copy of duck hunt -- when you fire the screen goes black, except for where the duck was, that spot stays white. And because it does, the gun detects light in the direction it was pointed and says if it was hit or not.
the wiimote is more complex by far, and more useful. and the way the console is designed, you can use gamecube and classic controllers where they're function would be more useful -- EVEN IN SOME WII ONLY GAMES. thats right, developers aren't restricted to one type of control, as we see in brawl.
now the most important thing for any console is games. And quite honestly, the PS3 dosent really compete much here. As much power as it's packed with, all the games I've seen for it suck. The Xbox 360 may have a s***-ton of games for it, but thats only for one reason -- it was the earliest next gen console to come out, so more developers already had the tools to develop for it, and had already begun projects by the time PS3 and wii came out...
thats not to mention the fact that most of the 360 games worth playing are actually PC ports that work better on PC, and a ton of games released for it are just "industrial" style games that are cranked out like no tommorrow and offer little-no innovation and follow overly rehashed storylines. Nintendo's own series are mostly great games, and a lot of 3rd party stuff is OK too, although a lot of great 3rd party developers (Sega, for one) IMO have gone down the drain with recent changes in structure... but thats a problem thats all too real for any of the 3 console manufacturers these days...
Maybe Im living in the digital dust here, I dont know. But as I see it, Nintendo has been taking steps back in innovation -- away from all the crap that gaming has become today. Gaming is no longer an artform to most producers as it once was, no longer something to innovate and play around with. Most developers know that an OMGDZ SHOOTZ IT game will sell to the masses and make more profit than games like Final Fantasy 3 (or 6) or Mischeif Makers, or Donkey kong will. Great companies like Black Isle studios (original producers of fall out) and many many others have all but shut down.
sure, maybe the majority are enjoying such thing, but what about the rich history of gaming? Look back to the golden era of gaming (snes to early PSX) and look at all the wonderful and strange creations were produced -- from odd rpgs to games like crash bandicoot things people had never seen or experienced before were popping up all the time.
the way I see it, Nintendo has been moving back towards those days, and its a good thing. Look at some of their games, twilight princess for example has moved back to a more classic styled zelda world -- no more ocarina or mask, good old blue/red potions are back, and there are tons of things they brought back from zelda in '85. Look at all the innovative and creative games -- warioware, animal crossing and so many more. look at how they're taking old favorites and keeping them fresh where they need to be and stale in ways that made them fun...
The way your looking at things any console that came out first would have won it in your book. There'd be more games and developers working for it, and more of a machine behind getting stuff on the shelves. or maybe its power that drives your decision? if so the PS3 would be the clear winner hands down.
your missing something here -- its quality. why do you think nintendo is selling so many consoles eh? They're not advertising as much as the 360 has, and advertisements for 360 specific games are more common then wii ones.
people aren't after the strongest console... if they were sega would still be in the hardware business, the dreamcast (as well as the saturn) were WAYYY ahread of they're time, and in the last gen, I constantly had to look twice to see that it's games werent current gen graphics and content wise...
also one last fact you have to get clear... THE GAMECUBE WAS FAR MORE POWERFUL THAN THE PS2, YOU HAVE YOUR FACTS WRONG IT WAS NOT UNDERPOWERED AT ALL.
but dont feel bad, your not the only one to make that mistake, everyone looked at the GC as weak, but in reality the PS2 was much weaker, and sure the XBOX was more powerful, but it was really a weak x86 PC in guise as a game console. Really it was the first to explore a more common pc architecture for a game console... for example gameboys used a z80 processor, gba used an arm chip, Dreamcast (from which MS might have gotten design ideas from) used a similar idea with a less common architecture, RISC.
So get your facts on straight, get a better less-biased view of the war before jumping to a side, and learn a little about gaming history while your at it. I've been a gamer since the NES, and I've owned almost every console EVER up to this gen. even the lesser known ones. I could go on about obscure games and consoles, and even old PCs (back when PC meant personal computer and wasnt bad slang for intel/amd x86 and x64) I could tell you about games like wasteland (the unnofficial prequel to fallout) and comic bakery, as well as many more gems forgotton over the ages.
perhaps a look at the past might show you that taking a few steps back in modern gaming "innovation" is actually taking a lot of steps forward after stumbling backwards in the dark.
although like I said, perhaps Im living in the digital dust of a world thats been long gone since the late 90's...
but whatever, thats just my 2-cents on your article. Try not to take anything personal, Im not trying to attack you or your beliefs.

Wii sucks, PS3 PWNS ALL. Simple as that. I game with good ol' joysticks and buttons, not by flinging some crazy stick around in the air. XD I sincerely hope that Sony and Microsoft don't make a move on their consoles with these "innovations". Very in-depth, well written hub.
