Wild Animals As Pets

Have you ever wanted a tiger or a lion for a pet but someone always told you it was not a good idea? Well, unfortunately, they were right. It isn't a good idea.

It isn't a good idea to have a wild animal for a pet because a wild animal is, after all, wild. A wild animal can be tamed, with a lot of work, but there is always the risk that he could turn wild again.

Another reason to not have a wild animal for a pet is because you have to think of the animal too. Is it fair to have an animal that you have to keep locked up in a cage? I think it is far better to have the animal in it's own environment.

There are other ways to enjoy wild animals. The zoo is a good place to enjoy them, but keep in mind when going to the zoo, that some of the animals may have been placed there by people that wanted to own a wild animal and then found it was too much work or they just couldn't handle it after all. Spending time in the wilderness is another sure way to see wild animals. Just remember when doing this that the animals are in their natural environments. There won't be any cages or enclosures so you just have to be careful.

I find the best way to enjoy wildlife to the fullest is to take my camera with me when I go for a walk, hike, drive or even camping. I can take all the pictures I want of them and therefore I can keep them close to me and look at them whenever I want and yet the animals were not harmed in anyway whatsoever.
