This is a friendship activity I use with PreK through 2nd graders.

Objective: To help students identify different traits of what it means to be a friend. To encourage students to think of times someone else has been their friend and also a time when they have been someone else's friend.

Materials: Will I Have a Friend? book

Activity: Read aloud Will I Have a Friend? book. Ask students what it means to be a good friend. Ask students when someone has done something nice for them and has been a good friend to them. Ask studnets when they have done somehting nice for someone else and when they have been a really good friend to someone else.
