Discussion on Windex
The Windex Brand
Windex has a fantastic marketing strategy and has a way of getting customers, and it does draw more attention from the female side but recently the more recent commercials have had male figures in the action using the products. Other ways that Windex uses its marketing skills is bring customers from every angle, such as putting the product in smaller stores like Eckerd’s, big businesses like Kmart and Wal-mart, not stopping there but as well as auto stores and even small samples in the mail and going as far as putting some sort of their product in vending machines such as around car washes and other places. For years Windex has serve the needs of customers for a good while and always bringing the customers satisfaction and serving the needs for cleaner windows to bringing other products to serve the needs of other customers. These are other needs that Windex saw that could be done by this company was an multi task cleaner that can not only just clean in the kitchen but in the bathroom and keeping these spaces looking good. But there was another source of audience that the Windex company was reaching, the customers that thought the product was to strong to handle or customers that wanted other fragrances, so Windex brought out line of fragrances and along with that they brought out even more product, which all can be seen online on their website which will help the customer prepare themselves before going to the store if the customer is looking for a certain type or product it is all online, but the products cannot be bought on line due to shipping. But through the years I have notice that customers have found other reasons for some of the products, for instance, I use regular Windex to clean chrome, fresh wet stains in carpet and on walls, and to shine my military shoes that are not leather, and since it has be a product that has been awhile for year their name has always carried well that customer honor its quality. But as for every product not all are perfect and a little help from the customers wouldn’t hurt, so if I had to make changes or add or just recommending new adverting strategy it would only be a few comments. As for the audience I would let them know that they should still target on the males because the females factor is already a done deal and also using college students and try to grab their attention also, so the age group of 18-30 year olds would be a great idea. And maybe even get a good commercial that can show the college person using Windex in the dorm and how usefully it can be. For the product line itself, I would probably not change anything on the sizes because they do come in regular and large size but I would still be brining out maybe fragrant to the mix or add a new thing where the liquid is red but sprays out clear so it can fun to use also and also bring out a new product to also have more competition with like air fresheners for the house, or for the refrigerators. The prices are pretty fair with coupons but I think the money they started with the product like the product birth month have a good sale where it can be a little more affordable and I am sure that would bring more money in or make it exclusive to only the customers who are enrolled to their website to get the notice. Other than that I think Windex is a great product.
