Window Treatments for a Master Bedroom: Budget Ideas with Style
77
Window treatments can be one of the most expensive investments when decorating a master bedroom, but they do not have to cost a lot of money to look impressive and stylish. High prices do not necessarily equal high style or quality, and it is possible to create stunningly beautiful high-quality window treatments while sticking to a decorating budget. Creativity equals style, and here you will find a number of budget ideas for master bedroom window treatments. Consider these budget ideas with style, and save money while creating unique master bedroom window treatments that are sure to impress.
Wall Vases
Stylish metal wall vases are ideal for more than embellishing walls and accenting wall art. Metal wall vases can be used to support master bedroom window treatments. Select two or three wall vases for each window in the master bedroom, and use the wall vases to hold up light-weight scarf valances, or use a pair for stylish and unique holdbacks. Wall vases are available in many different styles, and many are ideal for supporting and enhancing window treatments.
To create a unique and stylish valance over a master bedroom window, choose three wall vases. Mount one on each side of the top of the window frame, and mount a third wall vase over the top of the window. Drape a long scarf valance over the top of each wall vase, and fill the planters with floral foam and artificial trailing vines. These unique window treatments will look absolutely stunning.
Budget Scarf Valances and Budget Holders
Scarf valances are one of the most inexpensive ways to enhance master bedroom windows, and they can be easily made using yards of lightweight material stitched around the edges. Buy or make simple scarf valances using yards of fabric and stylish budget holders to support the material around master bedroom windows.
Instead of buying costly holdbacks especially made for holding window treatments, use inexpensive wrought iron plant hangers. They are just as stylish as holdbacks, and they will match wrought iron wall decor and other metal wall art in the master bedroom. This is a great way to add richness and style without spending a considerable amount of money on window treatments and hardware.
Embellish Solid-Colored Panels
Solid-colored drapery panels are very affordable, but many people avoid budget panels because they generally lack style. When decorating the master bedroom, buy plain solid-colored panels in a longer length than necessary. They will create a puddle of fabric on the floor that will add elegance and matchless style to the master bedroom.
Plain window treatments and ordinary panels can be further embellished in very easy and creative ways. Select budget priced buttons from a fabric store or craft store, and sew them to ordinary window treatments to add color and design. Buttons are available in more than just simple round varieties typically used for clothing. They are available in countless themes, colors, and very unique styles. Many budget buttons are sold by the bag and are designed especially for crafting. This is an easy budget way to add uniqueness and designer style to window treatments lacking designer style.
Browse your local craft store and search for other budget embellishments that can be added to plain drapery panels. You will find everything from tiny budget butterflies made from wire and netting to sparkling faux gems with self-adhesive backing. With imagination and the desire to transform ordinary master bedroom window treatments into stylish home decor, the options are truly limitless.

I agree - expensive home makeovers do not automatically mean a stunning output. The good thing about sticking to a decorating budget, as you've alluded to, is that certain limits encourage us to be creative. And your suggestions here certainly show that. Good hub. I'm into home improvement myself.
