Windows End-User License Agreement (EULA) is a legal contract between the end user of Windows and Microsoft Corporation that includes printed material, electronic or online documentation, computer software and related media, and Internet-based services. When you install Windows on your system, the setup locates and finds EULA or else it will not continue. If you get such errors, you will need to repartition and reformat the hard disk as a solution. You should restore the lost data while the process from the backup. But the constraints like backup unavailability or damage might prevent you from restoring data. So, to cope up with such situations, you should use Data Recovery applications to locate and recover lost information.

As an instance, when you try to install Windows XP on your system, it might give the below error message:

Setup cannot find the End-User License Agreement (EULA). Setup will not continue.”

The setup fails to continue after you receive this error message.

Cause

Windows XP setup fails to find the EULA if all of the below conditions are true:

  • The hard disk is formatted to FAT32 file system

  • You are using a large size hard disk

  • The hard disk has not been formatted using Windows XP but another operating system

Solution

To solve the existing problem, you should follow these steps in order:

  • Start your system using Windows setup boot disk

  • Press Enter when “Welcome to Setup” screen displays

  • Accept the Licensing Agreement by pressing F8

  • You will see a list showing all the existing partitions and space that has not been partitioned. Delete all the partitions required to be used for new partition and create a new partition

  • Format the partition using required file system

  • Continue with the setup to install Windows XP

  • You can then use Disk Management tool to format other partitions

  • Restore lost data from backup

  • If no backup is present or it is incompetent to give required results, scan your hard disk using Data Recovery Software to recover it. Data Recovery applications use safe scanning algorithms to recover data and provide an interactive user interface
