Probably the only good thing that happened to the recent incarnation of Windows is the eye candy that's alternately called skins or themes. If you're looking for Windows Vista Skins, look no further. You've come to the right place. I've turned cyberspace upside down to find the best sources of free Windows Vista themes so you don't have to.

Here they are:

MyVistaThemes.com is one of the best places on the web to find free Windows Vista skins. I found over 125 free skins at the time of this writing. New themes are being added and the people at MyVistaThemes.com seems to have made it their job to compile all the free Windows Vista themes that they can find. You can also get icons, screensavers, sidebars, Windows Vista tweaks and wallpapers.

They have an easy to navigate interface. You can find all the skins available here.

Windows-Vista-Update.com may not be the best-looking domain name but they do have a page full of free Windows Vista skins. The skins are not organized like in MyVistaThemes.com and there aren't as many but you might get lucky and find a theme that you like if you look hard enough. Some of the themes they have posted don't have screenshots. Here's the page where you can download the themes.

Now if you like really professional-looking skins for your Windows Vista operating system, you might want to look at the ones available at deviantart.com. You can find the skins gallery here. The Skins and Themes director of deviantart.com, Mauricio Alexis, has his top picks which you can find here.
