Winnie the Pooh Quotes

This hub is dedicated to my Grandson Darragh who is a big Winnie the Pooh fan! He has all the books, toys and clothes and falls asleep to his Winnie the Pooh mobile over his cot........aaahhhh how cute!! Now I have discovered the magic that is Winnie the Pooh quotes, those funny little things he says that mean something to almost everyone. Here is my favourite -

Don't underestimate the value of Doing Nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can't hear, and not bothering

"I don't see much sense in that," said Rabbit. "No," said Pooh humbly, "there isn't. But there was going to be when I began it. It's just that something happened to it along the way."

"What did you say it was?" he asked.  "Tigger."  "Ah!" said Eeyore.  "He's just come," explained Piglet.  "Ah! said Eeyore again.  He thought for a long time and then said:  "When is he going?"

"Help, help," cried Piglet, "a Heffalump, a Horrible Heffalump!" and he scampered off as hard as he could, still crying out, "Help, help, a Herrible Hoffalump!  Hoff, hoff, a Hellible Horralump!  Holl, holl, a Hoffable Hellerump!"

What was a Heffalump like?   Was it Fierce?   Did it come when you whistled?   And how did it come?   Was it Fond of Pigs at all?   If it was Fond of Pigs, would it make any difference what sort of Pig?  Supposing it was Fierce with Pigs, would it make any difference if the Pig had a grandfather called TRESPASSERS WILLIAM?

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.         "Pooh!" he whispered.         "Yes, Piglet?"         "Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw. "I just wanted to be sure of you

"It is awfully hard to be b-b-brave," said Piglet, "when you are only a Very Small Animal."

"Pooh, promise you won't forget about me, ever.  Not even when I'm a hundred."  Pooh thought for a little.  "How old shall I be then?"  "Ninety-nine."  Pooh nodded.  "I promise," he said.

 "How do you do Nothing?" asked Pooh.   "Well, it's when people call out at you just as you're going off to do it, `What are you going to do, Christopher Robin?' and you say, `Oh, nothing' and then you go and do it. It means just going along, listening to all the things you can't hear, and not bothering."

"Is it a very Grand thing to be an Afternoon, what you said?"   "A Knight?"   "Oh was this it?" said Pooh.  "Could a Bear be one?"   "Of course he could!" said Christopher Robin. "I'll make you one." And he took a stick and touched Pooh on the shoulder, and said, "Rise, Sir Pooh De Bear, most faithful of all my Knights."
