Wireless Surround Sound Speakers

Buying and installing a set of wireless surround sound speakers is a great way to get theater-style surround sound without needing to run new wires through your walls, or deal with a mess of cables running throughout your living room. People can find an extensive range of wireless surround sound speakers online in colors, sizes and prices to fit anyone's needs.

Making the jump from stereo sound to surround sound is an increasingly popular choice when assembling a living room or home theater. The benefits of surround sound include feeling more like you are a part of the action like you have at a movie theater instead of just sound coming from in front of you. A stereo system typically includes two front speakers. A surround sound system usually adds two rear speakers, a center speaker and a subwoofer. If you purchase as set of wireless surround sound speakers, often the rear speakers and center speakers talk to your surround sound receiver wirelessly and therefore don't need their own audio cable connections. The rear wireless speakers will make it feel like the action is happening all around you and not just in front. The subwoofer can create low rumbling bass sounds that make your chair tremble. Finally, the center speaker typically handles most of the dialog and can help a move soundtrack be easier to understand since the sound effects and voice are coming from different speakers.

Some wireless surround sound speakers are completely wireless: they get their audio signal wirelessly through the air from your audio receiver. They are self-powered by batteries as well. Other wireless speakers receive the audio signal wirelessly, but require a power cord. This power cord may be inconvenient, but it can be better than needing to change the batteries in your wireless surround sound speakers frequently.

Before the wireless surround sound speaker was invented, it was common to need to tear open walls to run audio cables and power cables between the central audio receiver and the multiple speakers throughout the room. This made adding a surround system expensive since it required modifications to the house. The only alternative was to run the cords inside your room which was ugly and easy for pets and kids to trip on and disconnect. Wireless surround sound speakers allow you to assemble a dramatic surround sound system without running cables through your walls or having various cables running throughout your room.

You can find wireless surround sound speakers online in a variety of sizes. Try to find them in a color that matches your decor, and in a size that matches the scale of your living room or home theater.
