Wizdog - The Indoor Dog Potty Training Solution

What is a Wizdog?

Wizdog is the cleanest and easiest, low cost way to potty train any dog - puppies and adults. It is a dog potty station created specifically for indoor use - it is guaranteed to take the headache out of housebreaking your puppy. I know I have used it with over 100 clients (and their owners) looking for quick and effective dog potty training solutions.

It is a brilliant product designed to make the task of house training your puppy or dog quicker, cleaner and easier. While training dogs to use litter boxes is a growning trend, the Wizdog is much cleaner and easiery option than a litter box or pee pads.

It's simple yet effective design improves on the current housebreaking products available. The Wizdog offers a solution to two of the most common indoor housebreaking issues: 1) stained and soiled floors and caroets and 2) wet paws tracking through the house. It also doesn't require you purchase refills such as liners, pee pads or litter. It offers very sustainable solution to dealing with dog potty training issues, as you aren't having to buy and dispose of pee pads and litter material.

How the Wizdog works for potty training

It consists of two pieces - a pan and a fitted grate, both are made out of industrial grade, durable and easy to clean plastic. The grate fits snuggly into the pan and it is raised just slightly off the floor, making it easy for dogs to walk onto the grate to do their business. This low height makes it especially useful for small dogs and older dogs that just don't have that mobility any more. The botton of the pan can be lined with newspaper or pee pads if desired, but not necessary.

What happens to the solid waste?

Ok this is the most commom question I get when I tell people about the Wizdog. Yes the solid waste has to go somewhere and no the dogs don't step it in - at least all the dogs I know using this system have never stepped in it. I mean dogs don't accidently step in it when they go outside. Basically the criss-cross design of the grate keeps the dog's paws away from all waste by first allowing the pee to to drain immediately down into the pan. And then the solid waste remains on top. All you have to do is flip the grate and drop it down into the pan or just remove it immediately. The pan keeps all the waste contained, which means it won't end up on your floors.

How The Wizdog Works

What kinds of dogs can use the wizdog?

The Wizdog weighs just about 3 lbs. and measures 21″ X 28″. Each grid cell of the fitted grate measures about 5/8″ square and 1/2″ deep. The Wizdog pan will fit most newspapers and pee pads. The Wizdog is made of non-toxic polystyrene, and the tray has a smooth glossy finish to facilitate cleanup. It was designed for small and medium-sized breeds and therefore is a bit narrow for adult larger dogs. The Wizdog System can support dogs weighing up to 200 lbs. If you have a larger do, no need to worry as you can use two systems side by side. All you have to do is join the two by saddling newspaper or a training pad on the sides that touch. This will crate one large surface that will effectively catch the waste and still keep your floors and dog's pawas clean and dry.

Hey - I love the Wizdog, and highly recommend it, I live in an apt and it took me just a few days to get my new boston terrier trained to use it. The easiest way to house train a puppy or dog.

Was wondering how well does this work with a larger dog? Seems like it would work great for smaller dogs - any ideas?

thanks

Nikki - yes it does work with larger dogs. If you have a much larger dog you can get 2 wizdogs and put them side by side. If you are just going to use it for initial housebreaking then one should be fine - but if you plan on using it long term for a big dog - then using 2 works fine. I have used 2 side by side for my aging shepard - Heidi as she just can't make it up and down the stairs as easily as she did when she was younger. Good luck.

Sounds like a great idea. Will this work with multiple adult dogs? I have 2 small breed dogs that will be moving to our new home. Thanks!
