Strategy Guide For WoW

When Blizzard Entertainment first released Warcraft they could not have seen just how common this online role playing game would become. For those followers looking for money saving tips please continue to read my introduction to this popular game.

Whether you are an expert player or new to the game you will realize that you will on occasion need a general pointer.

World of Warcraft is the fourth edition of the extremely popular Warcraft on-line game from Blizzard Entertainment, and has since its release in 2004 been expanded with a further 2 editions; the Burning Crusade (TBC) and Wrath of the Lich King (WOTLK).

As you level up through WoW you will be rewarded with reputation, gold pieces and other items which will all promote your expertise and skill levels.

The role playing aspect of WoW is 100% regulated by Blizzard Entertainment's gaming software in the form of NPC characters (Non Player Characters). They are responsible for handing out guidance as well as handing out tasks.

The game is centered around 2 warring nations, the Horde and the Alliance. When you start with World of Warcraft you have to make a decision whether to be a part of the Alliance or Horde faction.

If you opt to be an a member of the Alliance then you have the opportunity to play the game with one of the following Warcraft races: Draenei, Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans and Night Elves.

If the dark side (Horde) appeals to you then you have the chance to role play with 1 of the following race characters: Blood Elves, Orcs, Tauren, Trolls or Undead .

Each race has its own inherent qualities. The race you select also dictates which of the nine WoW classes you will be allowed to role play with. Some of the class characters rely on strength and are excellent fighters, whilst others rely on magic to level up.

The choice of classes available to World of Warcraft enthusiasts is: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Night Elves, Trolls, Undead, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior.

Having decided upon your class and race you need to choose a profession, which allows you to gain a skill so that you can pay your way through the game and earn gold by selling your finished items at the Auction house or to a vendor.

There are various professions to select from, which means that there is something for everyone. Some professions are better suited to a particular class than others. Alchemy for example is more suited to the Warlock role than the Warrior. The available professions are: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Inscription, Herbalism, Mining, Skinning, First Aid, Cooking and Fishing .
