Get a Sports Bra

Woman woman, get a sports bra for goodness sake, I am speaking from personal experience. Wearing a normal bra really gets in my way, the bra straps cannot keep in position, dropping off from my shoulders every few steps, and constantly having to adjust it back is really annoying and unsightful. I can just simply push it up from outside my sleeve, but it is not as "long lasting" if you really dig your hands inside from your collar and pull it up. I had invested in two pieces of sports bra myself, though does not come cheap, but it gives you that extra confidence and comfort, especially those with larger size front, it is the same if you have a large tummy or bums, they will just bounce off every time you run a step.

Hairdo

We are no samson, we do not need that mesh of hair for power, there is really no point in keeping the hair long and heavy, it will drag you down and slow your pace, and it smells after all that workout, I am sure no one wants to be brushed left and right left and right against all that oily strands. I have seen a light ponytail or a boyish kind of cut suits the female runners well, they will not go out of place or stick to your face, and it feels cooling to the neck where you might perspire alot. I understand beauty means alot to some people, but to some runners, they will want every gram of weight of them if possible, because every gram counts for long distance.

Bio Inconvenience

So much incovenience for the female runner, there is this once a month thingy no woman can avoid, and when it comes, you just feel like putting all your sports off, it is worse if it hits with your running event, beside enduring the distance, have to take care of the bottom. There is no solution to this, though there is some presecribed drugs, but there is also side effects of the drugs. Maybe using a super good absorbant might helps.

The Duty

What about getting pregnant, and after, its definitely no no, and there will be entirely no exercise or any form of sports for at least half a year. Okay maybe you think half a year is not long, but this is the best case, for me I took a year before I started to take up running again, 8 months pregnant period plus 4 months recovery period. I had missed out events for an entire year, and still struggling to pick up the original pace before giving birth. In addition, you might have back ache, some urinary complications, and breastfeeding soreness that might prevent you to enjoy the run.

Any woman runners out there should feel proud of themselves, having to overcome this and that without giving it up.

Quoting from the internet :

If a woman is sufficiently ambitious, determined and gifted - there is practically nothing she can't do” by Helen Lawrenson
