Women's Blue Jeans

The perfect pair of jeans
The perfect pair of jeans

Jeans are Fashionable

Why is it that no matter how many pairs of pants you have, or how many pairs of jeans, there is always one pair of denim jeans that you wear over and over.  That one pair of jeans that fit perfectly, hug your body, but are so worn in that they are soft and comfortable.

I know for me, that when I want to be my most comfortable, I always pull out the same denim blue jeans, day after day, evening after evening.

When my parents grew up, blue jeans were called dungarees, and were only worn as men's work clothes, but by the time I was a teenager, everyone was wearing blue jeans.  Denim became a fashion, and has never stopped since then.

Bell Bottom Blue Jeans

During my high school years, bell bottom pants were in, and everyone I knew had at least one pair of bell bottom jeans.  The pants hugged the hips tightly, and had skinny legs until the bottom half of the calf when they went into the bell bottom.  It wasn't the smartest fashion.  I remember tripping over my pants many times, but they were cool.

Today women's denim jeans are still sexy, and comfortable, but women have much more freedom in choosing styles that fit, and look great.  What is it exactly that makes the right pair of jeans look so sexy on a woman or a man.  They seem to be the all purpose pair of pants, durable, easily washed, yet sexy and fashionable.

Individualizing Your Denim Jeans

The best way to get the absolutely perfect pair of jeans is to have blue jeans made to your measurements. One company, indiDenim, will actually build a pair of women's or men's denim jeans to your specifications. Another option, is to start with one of their jean styles, then get them cut to your measurements. The finished result is a pair of jeans that you can live in, literally the perfect fit.

Another great option is finding a person who will embroider your favorite pair of jeans with colorful designs. Some of these remade jeans go for hundreds of dollars, even though they are made from a person's worn denim jeans. Usually the customer sends the jeans they want embroidered to the embroiderer, who will put the pattern on the jeans and then returns them to the customer.

Beyond the Usual Pair of Jeans

Luxury jeans come in many colors besides blue, although blue is still the all time favorite color for denim.  There are some really knock out colors available like burgundy, black, and green that look really good in the right style.

And just like anything else, styles change all the time, which makes some hard to get denim jeans very pricey.  As styles become vintage, sellers can charge a premium to buyers that are looking for those particular styles, and jean year.

To me, one of the best features of denim is its washability and durability.  Because it was originally a fabric made for working in, it is a tough fabric that just gets softer and more comfortable with age.  That feature lends itself to vintage jeans staying in good condition, and looking good.

Decorated Jeans

Denim blue jeans have been decorated over the years with many kinds of decorations from patches, embroidery, but the most famous decoration of blue jeans has been rivets.  Rivets were originally designed into blue jeans when they were working pants, to keep the pants in one piece longer, and to keep pockets and zippers fastened to the main part of the pants.

When the rivets were no longer needed for durability, they became part of the look of the jeans, and were later used for decoration.

I love my jeans, and finding the perfect pair just makes my day. A touch of spandex into traditional denim jeans definitely makes them curve friendly. As does a small insert of elastic on the waist ban.

Great selection of jeans on this hub.

I could easily live in jeans all the time if it wasn't for needing to dress up for certain occasions. They are so soft, and comfortable. I agree on the spandex.
