Womens Rocker snowboards - 2010 preview
69What is Reverse Camber?
A traditional snowboard, when lying flat on the ground, will make a slight concave curve in the space between your bindings/feet. Reverse camber is basically a downward bowing out (or in some cases, flattening) between your bindings/ feet rather than this traditional curve. Reverse Camber technology is meant to deliver heightened control between your bindings, while a slightly stiffened tip and tail add pop.
Various snowboard companies have created their own version of reverse camber, such as GNU's Banana Technology, Bataleon's Triple Base Technology and K2's various Rocker baselines.
Below are 3 examples of 2010 womens snowboards with reverse camber. There are a lot of snowboards with this technology, so this is just a sampling. I suggest that you check out the wide selection of womens snowboards available before choosing one.
K2 Va Va Voom Rocker

This is the 2009/2010 K2 Va Va Voom Rocker womens snowboard with their Jib Rocker technology. Leanne Pelosi had a hand in designing this snowboard. In addition to all the usual technology that K2 snowboards are packed with, they have added their Jib Rocker to the Va Va Voom- the board is flat between your bindings, extending out almost fully to the nose and tail. The snowboard has a buttery feel, offering a forgiving non-edge catching feel.
The K2 Va Va Voom Rocker is a twin shaped board, so you can ride switch flawlessly.

Pro-snowboarder, Barrett Christy, has been perfecting her pro-model, the B-Pro, for years, adding in the best technology as it becomes available. Last year, she added Magne Traction and Banana Technology. For 2009/2010, the B-Pro womens snowboard will be available both in a regular Banana Tech/ BTX model and with the addition of C2 - Banana Tech between your bindings and camber at the ends of the board.
Christy's 2009/2010 GNU B-Pro womens snowboard with C2 and BTX won a Snowpress Innovation Award.
A portion of the sales of this snowboard are donated to Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC).

Burton Lipstick womens snowboard
For 2009/2010, Burton revamps their Lipstick womens snowboard. Adding their V Rocker and a blunted nose and tail, the Burton Lipstick promises to be a really fun freestyle snowboard. With it's true twin shape, riding switch is a breeze and Burton suggests that women who plan to lap the park on this snowboard size down 1 to 2 cm from your normal board length.
Burton's V Rocker lifts the nose and tail contact points, while focusing your control between the bindings.
