WordPress Addiction

Are You A WordPress Crack Addict?

Crack cocaine is particularly dangerous due to its high availability, relatively cheap cost, and rapid addiction rates. WordPress blogging is fast becoming as addictive as cheap crack cocaine.

In the case of Wordpress at least, it might be considered a good thing, especially for all those who are just discovering the power of blogging as a Word2.0 medium.

WordPress blogs are popping up everywhere, especially in the world of Internet marketing and it's niche Affiliate Marketing. Why? Like "crack" they have high availability, cheap cost (free) and once you learn how to use a WordPress Blog, it become highly addictive.

Because of it's versatility and the wide range of plug-ins that are available, you can customize WordPress to suit your particular aesthetic.

Moreover, WordPress is extremely Google friendly and unlike Blogger (owned/controlled by Google) once set-up properly on your domain, it's not subject to being removed from the Internet as some Blogger blogs have been.

The domain hosted feature of WordPress makes it hands down the best blog platform for Internet & Affiliate Marketers who need flexibility and speed.

I said WordPress is Google friendly and it is. I've got top Google ranking (page 1 & page 2) for several of my WordPress Blog articles that are optimized by using the right Plug-Ins.

There in lies the rub. There are literally thousands of WordPress Plug-ins on the Internet. Some work better than others. Some work better in conjunction with others. It all depends on the purpose of your blogging.

If you're making social commentary or have a niche following, SEO will mean something different to you than if your an Internet Marketer or Affiliate Marketer that need to drive targeted traffic to a landing page, blog or sales page to make money.

Internet and Affiliate Marketers are to Online Marketing what test pilots were to NASA three decades ago. We push the web to the edge in every area conceivable. Our motivation is not altruistic by entrepreneurial. We have to make money and therefore, we're constantly testing and tweaking methods to generate more targeted traffic to drive more cash our way. We've got to get the word out about our products and services to the right audience.

So, if you're a Newbie and your just getting started with WordPress there are some definite things you will want to do.

  1. Host WordPress on your own domain. This will save you considerable time and effort and you'll be able to produce a better blog.
  2. Make sure you perform SEO on your WordPress blog. Let me tell you, it will make all the difference in the world.
  3. Plug-Ins. Make sure you learn how to use them properly. Like I said, there are thousand of WordPress plug-ins on the net. Everything that glitters is not gold!
