Building Better Budgets Using Words

A New Way to Play

Just found Hubpages today. A new way to play.

A new way to send streams of words on their way that nourish, inspire and help others to grow and become profitable.

But once upon a time, seems like very long ago I played “nursie” with my dollies. Just a little kid growing up in New Guinea. Everyone said I’d grow up to be a nurse, like Mum!

Took fright at being a nurse and got married instead at 18. He was 20. Very mature decision!

Three Bright Little Girls

Soon, no more dollies but three vivacious, bright-eyed little girls.

We all grew up together as we carved out a life in an ancient magnificent rainforest away up in the mountains away from civilisation.

Years of Home making, home educating, making music and character while aromas from our wood burning oven melded with the scents of the forest trees and flowers.

This was home.

Something Missing

Satisfied, but not complete. Something missing.

A deep inner longing for the skills and sweetness of music, and the magic, the utter magic of words.

Retreated with pen and paper often into the coolness of the forest to write. For the sheer joy of seeing words appear on paper, words that expressed things that would remain hidden otherwise.

The three grew up. An orthoptist, doctor and nurse. Off to careers and husbands of their own.

What Now?

I know, I’ll give my love of music a chance to flourish. So off to university. The first years thought I must be a lecturer. Nope. A student too.

By the end of first year though, a Big Surprise.

Me. Having a Son!

After all these years. Well!

Already it’s 10 years later. I’m helping him write his first book. Teaching him how to focus, to get the job done, to delight in seeing his passion for birds take shape as a book.

He too lives with his Thesaurus, and his Dictionary, looking for just the right word with just the right nuance to match his thoughts.

We make music together, cello, piano, pipe organ, he with skill beyond his years. Satisfied – both.

Yet, words, words, oh there’s a lure in words.

Still Something Beckons.

We both went to India just a few months ago. Spent time at an orphanage for blind children. Had OUR eyes opened.

We want to help. To give. Ourselves AND money.

This is our promise to Ourselves. For Them.

Developing a Business so we can Bring Dad Home.

Dad's life takes him away, away, away from home, where a growing son needs a Dad!

This is my promise to us, for our son and his Dad.

Harnessing the Power of Words Now on the Net.

Letters running together, into words, into thoughts that can transform, give hope, help, courage and generate action.

Words that Generate income so we can Bring Dad Home AND Help those with Eyes who Can’t See.

Just lately stumbled across Clayton Makepeace. Copywriting Master.

Read, print out, put in binders, read and reread the articles. A new world I’d never known existed, let alone peeked into.

Feel like I’m on the Brink of Discovery Every Day.

Playing “nursie” was fun while it lasted. Growing up with our girls was too.

And now with our son. Always something new to learn. Always some new tune to play

But this Word World is Becoming my New Home.

A home where the aroma of word mixtures and the sweet scents of hope and opportunity blend.

Dreamboards? Don’t believe in ‘em.

Promise boards! You bet.

So I'm busy writing in this inspiring, promise filled world of words.
