Work from home - can I make money without getting into online schemes?

Can you make money online without being scammed? That's a very simple question. I have written a few hubs related to this matter and I believe yes you can make money off of it. Whether it's enough to get you a strong residual income is another story. You see, I can attest that it is possible to make some money but still on a never-ending quest to turn the Internet into a moneymaker that can be used to have a stronger income.

It is a battle but maybe it is not the only way to make money because even sometimes it can get harder to find. It could like finding needles in haystacks. For every item that you make money at home with that actually works, there is probably something along the lines of maybe ten different ones that promise big bucks but want you to pay. What person in their right mind would want to pay someone for work? That's about as dumb as say Wal-Mart requiring all their employees to pay them money in order to work for them. It makes no sense.

Some places you can look at would like Rent A Coder but even that can be difficult to obtain jobs. Why is that the case? Well, when you just join up a site, you're going to have to learn how to bid. It's like bidding on Ebay but the main difference is that you're going for jobs and sometimes the buyer can pick the highest or lowest bids possible.

I can attest and say I have made some money but am still working on making more money to make it on a consistent basis at a stronger level than ever. By stronger, it's more along the lines of consistent amounts of $1000 plus. However, it is something that will probably will need something like PayPal because most if not all freelance sites accept payment from PayPal as it is currently the best one out there for payment and plus you don't have to worry about possibly checks getting lost in the mail. Doesn't that sound like a good thing?

Before you go ahead and think you should quit your job, I would not advise it. If you don't make as much or more than what you would at your regular job, it could cause a lot of harm to what goes on in your personal life.

I hope that it was able to answer a question on it. Find something that you think would be best for you but always be careful on what you look into. Remember, if something is too good to be true, then most likely it is.

Bruce, brilliant answer. Money can be made, but strategically moving from full-time job or anything else consistent to an online business is recommended.
