Working on the internet, should basically be like working at any job.

You know what you have to do, so set a time to get started. Now, too often people sit around at home, saying the age old : I need to!  Don't do that. Get up, and get busy. That is how you are going to succeed.

Set a time schedule for doing your work on the internet. Stick by your schedule. If you let outside things take precedance over your working, then you are the one that is going to suffer for it.

Make sure your work environment is comfortable, without lots of outside distractions. Get rid of the tv in your computer room. That is a distraction, that can easily take two hours of your work time. Even though you don't look at it constantly, you still have that distraction, and it's going to interfere with your work.

Make sure you have enough space for files and folders. These are necessary. A month from now, when you wonder where everything is, simply open the file cabinet. If you don't keep files, you are going to be at a loss, later on.
