I am a work at home mom. I make vinyl decals for a living. I love to be home with my kids and still earn a living. This is not a get rich quick way of earning money. It is not kick back work. There is work involved. You will need to set up your cutter. You need to use your software to design the work. you need to cut the graphic out. Weed the decal. Apply app tape.-But it is a fun way to earn a living. Not much overhead is needed. After the initial purchase of your cutter, all you will need to keep in stock will be vinyl, and app tape and various blades.

To start a small home business like this can cost as low at 700.00. I bought my vinyl cutter on Amazon.com and it came with the design program. No I am not talking about the cricut. The cricut is an okay machine, but is very limited. Limited to their cartridges, their design software.

There is a small learning curve to using the software for your cutter, but you get the hang of things pretty quick.

Ways to make money using your cutter:

  • I have vinyl lettering parties. Have someone you know invite friends and family over and show them some of your items you have made using vinyl.
  • Make school logos for funraisers.
  • Sell your designs wholesale to small boutiques.
  • Sell them at craft shows.
  • get an online store (try etsy.com)
  • and lots more
