Working from home can be via freelancing, home based business, self employment, tele-working, online work opportunities... etc. Tele-working is when your employer allows working from home to do some or all of your work. More companies are allowing their employees to do work from home.

Some small and home based businesses combine working from home with a virtual office.

• There are genuine online working from home opportunities, but some are not. 

• So be aware of the online opportunities that promise get rich quickly schemes. 

• Check and research any opportunity or program thoroughly before paying any amount of money. 

• In general, beware of working from home employers who ask for your money in advance. Legitimate working from home employers pay you money and do not ask you for money.
