World Of Warcraft pvp can be the most frustrating aspect of the game for new players specially those who chose to play in pvp realms.

I recommend that all new players begin playing the game in a pve realm as it is easier to learn World Of Warcraft pvp in a more controlled environment.

What I mean by a controlled environment is that players can choose to participate in World Of Warcraft pvp via battle grounds like Warsang Gulch, Arathi Basin and Alterac Valley while being able to level their toons without having to be bothered with pvp until they become proficient with it.

There are many guides that claim to be able to teach you World Of Warcraft PVP but the fact of the matter is it is virtually impossible for any WoW PVP guide to be able to address every race / class combination as wellas an unlimited number of scenarios you could face in World Of Warcraft PVP.

The are some basics of World Of Warcraft PVP that are pretty much common sense to even new players. As an example I play a mage and depending upon the class I am fighting there are certain things I need to do to be successful in World of Warcraft PVP.

When fighting another caster like another mage or warlock I will try to gain and advantage through incapcitating them. A great mage spell is counterspell which will "stun" a caster for a couple seconds and thus disable their ability to cast any spells. This couple of senconds could be enough to get a damage advantage.

Another thing I could do is "sheep" an opponent to be able to activate trinkets hat would give me a boost in damage. When fighting a melee class I want to use "frost nova' or again "sheep" to maintain a distance between myself and my melee opponent so they cannot inflict damage.

If you are playing a melee class then World Of Warcraft pvp means you want to get in the face of that caster in order to disrupt their ability to cast any spells as quickly as possible.

Another thing to consider is the type of World Of Warcraft PVP you are doing. The WoW battlegrounds are a combination of individual and group pvp so understanding how to fight any class individually as well as knowing your role within a group is critical.

Group fighting like you would find in the arena envronment is much easier if everyone knows the role their class plays within the team. This is much easier because you can learn from doing thing like group questing and instancing to figure out exactly where you class fits within the team.

Things such as protecting your healer and going after the other teams healers may seem very basic World Of Warcraft strategy but take a look next time you are in a battleground at how many times a player will run into a battle and start wailing away at the tank while a priest stands a little off in the distance just healing away untouched.

I do not care how good you are at World Of Warcraft PVP you will not win a fight against someone being healed by a good healer and you are not being healed.

If my mage has to go one on two against a healer and another class I will try and throw off a "sheep" on the healer and then attack the other class or the opposite and take that healer out.

Becoming proficient at World Of Warcraft PVP is simply a matter of becoming proficient with the skills made available to your class. Ther is simply no guide out there tat can provide that for you and every player will tend to play their toon a little different. There is no need to waste your money on a WoW pvp guide that is ultimately not going to play your toon for you or really make you any better.
