A paladin can turn into two basic classes - healadin and tankadin. Healadin being the healer version of the paladin. The healadin can become the best healing class in the end game. Their in very high demand by guilds for raiding and PvP. Their also in high demand for arena teams. The tankadin becomes one of the three tanking classes in World Of Warcraft. The other two being the warrior and druid. They are second best for main tanking to the warrior but number one for off tanking as they can heal themselves while being selfsufficient.
