Update

This is my second Quick and Dirty Horde Leveling Guide. This one will take you from levels 58 to 60 (depending on what level you wish to start in the Outlands). You can read part one here.

As I stated in my previous guide, this is a general overview of the Horde leveling process. If you want a greatly detailed, step-by-step leveling guide for both Alliance and Horde, I highly recommend checking out either Zygor's or Joana's leveling guides. They are well worth the price and constantly updated.

World of Warcraft : The Outlands

It's best to start at level 58

Although this guide is labeled 60 through 70, I'm going to gear it more for levels 58 through 68. This assumes you are going (or have) purchased Wrath of the Lich King and wish to level all the way to level 80.

So why start at level 58? Well, it's the minimum level you have to be in order to get into the Outlands, so you will gain Outland experience rates (which are close to double World of Warcraft classic experience rates). Depending on the class, you should be able to go from 58 to 60 in less then 4 hours. Also, the first 10 or so quests will give you gear that far exceeds anything you can get on the old continents.

Just a last word; some classes will be easier to level at 58 in the Outlands then others. Your DPS classes are pretty painless, but I've found it to be slower going with under geared Warriors, Shadow Priests (lots of drinking), and Frost Mages. But maybe you can play those classes much better then me, so try it out.

Thrallmar and Spinebreaker Post

When you first get into the Outlands you will end up at the staging area around the Dark Portal (I'm so glad it's re-opened after the helluva time I had closing it in Warcraft II, so you people are lucky). There will be a flightmaster that takes you directly to Thrallmar, the Horde outpost in Hellfire Peninsula. For the first couple of levels Thrallmar will be your center of operations. Everything you need is there; repairs, food, drink, some secondary trainers, and an Inn. Thrallmar is a fairly large quest hub and will quickly send you to Spinebreaker Post (near the south of the map) where you will find another fairly large chain of quests.

All the quests in this area should easily take you to level 60. Once you hit level 60 you will notice that the experience needed to gain levels jumps quite a bit. it's still fairly fast since Blizzard reduced the amount of experience needed to get from 60 to 70 when Wrath of the Lich King came out.

Falcon Watch and Mag'Har Post

There are two more Horde quest hubs that can be found in Hellfire Penninsula. Falcon Watch is a typical quest hub located more towards the west central part of the map, and Mag'Har Post is an Orc encampment that involves quest chains, but is not as involved as Falconwatch.

Honestly, all these hubs can take you to level 62 fairly easily. And if you can solo same level elites (Protection Paladin, etc) you will leave Hellfire with a couple of nice blues as well. Don't fret leaving here at 61 if you have to because the nice things about The Burning Crusade is that there are more then enough quests to level you to 68 or 70 (in fact, you may not even get to a couple of zones).

Cenarion Refuge and Swamprat Post

These two quest hubs are pretty straight forward. You have the option of setting your hearthstone to either Cenarion Refuge or Swamprat Post (but I believe only Swamprat post has a flightpath). There are a lot of quests that branch off of here and will keep you easily busy to level 63.

If you find that you have done all the quest chains you can from these two areas, there's still a whole other Horde area to the west named Zabra'Jin that will send you off on new quest chains and could even possibly take you to level 64. If you don't get to level 64 in this zone, dont worry about it. There's still plenty of alternatives later on.

Stonebreaker Hold and The Broken Caravan

I love Terrokar Forest, maybe I'm just the woodsie type. After you leave Zangarmarsh at level 63 or 64 you should head south to Terrokar. Your main quest hub will be Stonebreaker Hold. It has all the ammenities you will need to start and I recommend heading there first, setting your hearthstone and grabbing all the first level of quests before you do anything else.

This zone also holds Shattrath City, which is the central hub of The Burning Crusade expansion. From Shattrath you can find Mage-like portals back to Kalimdor and The Undercity. I also circled the north eastern part of the zone since it will have some additional quests you will find useful when you're doing the main quest lines at Stonebreaker Hold.

This zone will easily take you to level 65 no matter what level you came in. You can either complete as many quests as you can here to get to level 66 or move on to the next zone.

Garadar and other various hubs

Nagrand, sometimes called the Stranglethorn Vale of the Outlands, is a huge zone that centers the town of Garadar for the Horde. I have circled the smaller quest hubs, but even these smaller hubs equate to as many, if not more, quests than the outpost itself. In fact, the Nesingwary quest line alone (circled in the Northeastern part of the zone) will probably grant you almost three quarters of a level if you have full rest experience and take it through to the final boss.

Doing as many quests as possible through all of these quest hubs will take you to 68. At that point, you can either choose to complete them and finish up to level 70 (possibly level 71 or 72) in the Outlands or move on to Northrend.

Outlands 68-70 : If you really want to.

If you don't have the Wrath of the Lich King expansion and really want to level to 70 in the Outlands you have plenty of options. For starters, there's 3 zones in the Outlands that I haven't event touched upon in this guide that will take you from 65-70 by themselves.

Either way The Burning Crusade is a great expansion in that it offers you far more leveling choices then World of Warcraft Classic did. Enjoy.
