World's cheapest car

Worlds cheapest car called the "Tata Nano"(engine 625cc) is now available in India at the price of 100, 000 Indian rupees (2500 USD). Built by "Tata Motors", it is claimed to be of high fuel efficiency and gives 20 kilometers per litre or 50 mpg and low emissions.

There are two models; the cheaper one does not have air conditioning or power steering while the higher model does but slightly higher priced but within the range of many who can only dream of buying a car in India. The Deluxe version of the Nano is priced at a 3000$.

You can pretty much guarantee that Ausralia won't be letting this one in anytime soon- too many car industry jobs to protect -shame though it looks like the smartcar and would be ideal in downtown Sydney or Melbourne

You are so quick in producing a so good article on so recent a topic.Ordinary people like me are waiting for the success of this model. We should see, how the after-sales service ,etc will be.But we will be very happy if this model gets success.

We do not know whether it has gas connection facility or not. It would be nice, if it posseses that also.
