Gas prices keep going up. I mostly fill my gas tank when it is little less than half the tank. Yesterday should have been that day, but as I drove in to the gas station, I looked at the gas prices, and decided why not fill up the tank tomorrow. Wrong decision! This morning, the gas price gone up, yet again. I now dread going to the gas station and pay almost the double than what I was paying last year this time. I am not sure we can do much about it. Even the chain mails like "Do not fill your gas on that particular day" or "Do not fill the tank from this gas station" have all gone in vain. People need the reassurance that they are not going to spend their week's pay on filling up the gas. Do not make them pick between filling up the gas tank or buying the groceries.

Well, since I can't do much about it I make it a point to check the gas stations that are offering least expensive gas so that I can at least save a few pennies of what I earn. Meanwhile, I try not to use my car that much. I walk or bicycle to the store if I can. I do my shopping online. I try to buy inexpensive used products like used furniture and appliances. I mostly use local classified sites like khrido and craigslist. I also do not take plastic bags and take the public transport as much as possible.
