She wrote about what?

Ok, the President has signed embryonic stem cell research into law. whoop. I'm not too thrilled about that, and the reason I'm not to thrilled, is because these are human embryos, created by humans. Those embryos will eventually become humans, people, if left to grow naturally.

I would like to ask all the scientists that are clamoring for the opportunity to split up humann embryos to do research a few questions.

1. Are you married, engaged, living with someone and able to produce children?

2. And if so, would you and your spouse/partner/posslq donate some embryos to the cause?

And to those non scientists that are clamoring for cures that embryonic stem cell research claims to cure, I ask the same questions.

1. Are you married, engaged, living with someone and able to produce children?

2. And if so, would you and your spouse/partner/posslq be willing to donate some embryos to the cause?

Science can be wonderful, the advances amazing, but sometimes, there is a price to be paid for the advances. And i want to know who's willing to pay the price in children (yeah, I said it,) to make these advances happen!

I know I'm not. And the prospect of killing babies, or preventing the birth of babies just to "harvest" stem cells and play with them frightens me.

I've heard the argument that the embryos created from IVF attempts could be used to supply the "raw material" for al this experimentation- and I think that's a cowardly way to do things, Those embryos were created for folks to have families, not for experimentation.

And just because these embryos are frozen doesn't stop them from having the potiential to be babies, children, people!

I mean we use the term embryo, but the truth is people are disassociating themselves from the reality that embryonic stem cell research is mucking about with human life, and that's bound to have severe consequenses.

Why not just let these embryos, be adopted by people that want to have children but for some reason aren't able to conceive on their own? It happens- ask anyone that's adopted a child through the Snowflake Adoption program!

So, I'm curiious.would Ron Reagan (late Pres. Ronald Reagan's son) be willing to donate some embryos to further Alzheimer's research? I mean, it would definitely speak to his dedication to the cause!

But can you imagine the conversation?

"Mrs. Reagan, we have great news! We can cure your husband! Your daughter has gladly donated enough embryos for us to formulate a cure. She won't give you and grandchildren, but your husband will live a long happy life, his mental faculties restored!"

I can't imagine a response to that. Can you? Would you want to?
