- Become a Wrath of the Lich King Beta Tester
Here is an alternative method on becomming a beta tester for wrath of the lich king - Wrath of the Lich King Website
The official Wrath of the lich king website.
Hopefully after reading this hub you will know how to become a wrath of the lich king beta tester.
Basically it works like this:
When blizzard decides to open up for beta testing they will announce it on their website. I don't know if everybody who wants a spot gets one... But you can expect there will be hordes of people trying to get a spot.
You must also be on the lookout for fake invitations.
There are a lot of these fake beta invitations going around. What these people who send out these invitations want is your wow account.
If you ever get a email looking like this it's fake and you could loose your account if you do as they says.
Here is the email you should be on the lookout for. Greetings,

Now lets talk a little about what you will run into if you are selected as a beta tester for wrath of the lich king.
Photo of The Death Knight
The Death Knight Class
The death knight class is one of the classes you will be able to test in wrath of the lich king.
The death knight is the first hero class and you will be able to wreak a lot of havoc with this class. The death knight will mostly be a tank but he will be able to do more things as well.. Like Magic!
The death knight will not be more stronger than the other classes, it will just give you a new perspective how you can play the game.
Another thing that's very cool about this hero class is that it's a tank but it doesn't wear a shield. Imagine the death knight as prince arthas with heavy black cold armor and a gigantic two hand sword.
Update!:
I have some new and cool information about the Death Knight for you..
When WoTLK goes live you will be able to create a Death Knight if you already have a lvl 55 character. You are limited to 1 Death Knight per realm, per account.
So I guess you can't create a death knight on a new realm until you have leveled a character to 55 first.
Anyway, When you create a Death Knight you will be taken through a series of quests that explains the background of the Death Knight and its lore.
The Death Knight will have 3 specializations and they are: Blood, Frost, Unholy - Runic.
The death knight will still be a DPS/Tank hybrid with lots of power under its hood.
Also, the Death Knight have 3 stances available. There are Frost for tanking, Blood for soloing and Unholy - Runic for PvP.
The stances are simillar to the Warriors stances. You will also have a Runic power meter that will give you access to special attacks and abilities/magic when it fills up.
But one cool thing is that the Death Knight will be able to raise ghouls from corpses, both NPC and other players. If you cast this spell on a friendly player who have fallen in combat that player will be able to control the ghoul.
I want to become a beta tester bad =)!
Bestiary of Wrath of the Lich King
You will enounter many new monsters in wrath of the lich king. Here are some of them..
Photo of a Nerubian Vizier
Nerubian Vizier
The Nerubian Vizier is 50% spider and 50% human. They first were advisors to the nerubian spiderlords. However after the great spider war they saw their chance of becomming the rulers of the underground kingdom.
Many belive that these spiders are closely connected to the mighty insect race.. The Qiraji. But that's just a rumor..
Never the less.. The Viziers are very powerful.
I don't know if these creatures will be hostile or friendly to you. The only way to know is through beta.
Photo of a Plague Eruptor
Plague Eruptor
The Plague Eruptors are not a pretty sight. They are the lich king's dark experiment and they are evil to the bone.
They are made to spread horror and suffering as they roam forward. If you encounter one of these beasts don't run. Because they will outrun you.
You see they are very fast and very strong. They spread the undead plague wherever they go.
The Plague Eruptor is the most destructive and dangerous creature in the lich king's undead army.
Photo of a Shovel Tusk
Shovel Tusk
The Shovel Tusk is a creature found in Northrend.
They use their gigantic tusks to dig for food. I don't know which food that requires those massive tusks. One thing that is certain is that these creatures are very dangerous.
If you are adventuring into northrend you should be on your guard. These beasts will defend their territory and they outcome will be fatal if you aren't prepared.
Skinners would love to get to skin these beasts because the skin is very valuable and usable.
Photo of an Iron Dwarf
Iron Dwarf
The dwarfs have dugg deep trying to find out where they first came from. The latest clue in the puzzle comes from digg sites in the howling fjord.
The dwarf's explore's league have dugg really deep and found a new race of dwarfs. The Iron Dwarfs.
These dwarfs have thick and glimmering metallic skin. They also have powerful magic to aid them.
But don't think that these dwarfs are friendly. They have sworn a promise to eridicate the explores league from the face of the earth. Watch out for these dwarfs because they are immensly powerful.
Photo of a Taunka
The Taunka
The Taunka is a very though race who live in a strong climate in northrend.
They are a very strong and big race who are related to the tauren race. The Taunka have learned to survive in the deadly wastes of northrend. The temperature here is very low and there aren't so many creatures here.
The Taunka can seem cold and uncaring but when you get close and know them you will soon realise that they have big hearths and are friendly.
Although this race can be a fiercy opponent if you attack them.

Inside News of Wrath of The Lich King
- Two Bosses Enter: Jedoga Shadowseeker vs. King Dred
Two Bosses Enter ... but only One Boss Leaves, in WoW.com's series of fantasy death matches. This season's bosses come from the five-man instances of Wrath of the Lich King. While last week's Two Bosses Moorabi/Trollgore matchup was downright gory, this week's battle appears no less likely to end up in a bloody mess. This week, we'll see King Dred of Drak'tharon Keep tear into Jedoga Shadowseeker and her minions inside Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom. The ground rules: Assume that the opponents share similar levels, health pools and comparative overall damage output. In order to give Jedoga access to her minions, we'll set this deathmatch in her stomping grounds in Ahn'kahet - but we'll provide that King Dred arrives on the scene with a raptor posse of his own. Don't get caught up in gameplay mechanics and what actual players might do in each encounter. Focus on the three S's: style, story and scale. Can a ruthlessly bloodthirsty priestess hold off a rampaging Devilsaur? Join us after the break to cast your vote for who you think will emerge this week's victor.Continue reading Two Bosses Enter: Jedoga Shadowseeker vs. King DredFiled under: Analysis / Opinion, Features, Lore, Bosses, Two Bosses EnterTwo Bosses Enter: Jedoga Shadowseeker vs. King Dred originally appeared on WoW.com on Fri, 03 Jul 2009 18:30:00 EST. - Wrath of the Who?
I love this comic from the very talented miggy over at WoW Ladies, not only because it's funny, but because she's got a point. Back when the Battle for Mount Hyjal instance in the Caverns of Time appeared in game, we all wondered why we were going there in the first place -- unlike the other CoT instances, there were no dragons to fight or strange factions messing with the continuum. All that could happen in there is that we'd screw everything up and ruin time as we know it (and given all the wipes that went on in there, we probably did). But with the Argent Tournament, Blizzard seems to have gone even further: not only is there no clear reason for us to do it, but we're actually ignoring the threat at hand. As you know if you've read Sacco's excellent (and completely spoilerrific) guides to the Coliseum raid and the Tournament 5-man, there is a tacked-on reason we're doing all of this stuff, and it's that the Horde and Alliance want to send their strongest people to go after Arthas, and the Tournament is a way of sussing out who's most worthy. But though that makes for some great lore cutscenes, doesn't it still undermine Arthas' strength? How powerful can the guy be if there are so many people lining up to kill him we have to fight over it? Don't get me wrong, we're definitely looking forward to the Coliseum, and it's definitely brought some interesting things and rewards to the game. Just like CoT, in the light of the lore and the MMO genre at large, it's a great addition. But it is funny that the great Lich King's main tactic seems to be to have us fight it out between ourselves way before we ever bother taking a shot at him.Filed under: Analysis / Opinion, Fan stuff, Instances, Expansions, Raiding, Lore, Bosses, NPCs, Wrath of the Lich KingWrath of the Who? originally appeared on WoW.com on Fri, 03 Jul 2009 14:30:00 EST. - Blizzard: aerial combat wasn't polished enough for Wrath of the Lich King, Diablo III UI influenced by WoW
The reason why you're not having fantastical dogfights in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King right now lies in the physics. As in, it wasn't polished enough. That's what WoW's Tom Chilton revealed in the latest Blizzard podcast. If you look at a lot of games that have done flight simulation, there is a lot of care that goes into giving you that sensation of flying by having the world tilt and stuff like that so it feels a little less mechanical, feels a little bit more alive or more natural. So one of the things that we have kind of tasked ourselves with doing is figuring out how to polish that, how to improve on our vehicle physics, there s still a lot of vehicle physics tech that we want to get in that didn t make it into the first pass of Lich King. Even though it may have been cut, aerial combat may still find its way into WoW someday, as Chilton also said that it's currently on Blizzard's to do list. The same podcast also featured senior Diablo III artist Mike Nicholson, who admitted that the new UI for Diablo 3 drew a lot of inspiration from WoW's UI. Oh really? I hadn't noticed and am now so overcome with surprise at this unexpected revelation! nbsp; Seriously though, the UI still retains popular elements from the Diablo series while throwing in some WoW staples into the mix. One thing that will definitely catch fans' eyes - for better or worse - is the inclusion of WoW's colorful icons. Here's Nicholson: I love the WoW icons. And y know what we re trying to do is see, OK, what works about the WoW icons? They re illustrative; is there a way to try to maybe bridge the gap? You know what worked about the more symbolic DII icons, and what works with the WoW icons, and trying to find a way to put the two together. Another new thing is the addition of expandable bags. This reminds me more of the Damp;D staple Bags of Holding which appeared in Neverwinter Nights than anything in WoW really. Nicholson again: You'll get bags and they will expand, you know kind of like in WoW, except you're not going to open up separate windows. You'll start off your inventory with say you know, eight slots, right, and then you'll get a new bag and that has ten, so two more slots will open up within that tab, but you'll never have multiple tabs. Like you won't have two or three 'large' tabs. It might sound like I've been taking a few jabs at Diablo III, but make no mistake - this is a day one purchase for me. Now if only I had some idea of when they'll release it. Keep checking back for more updates.
