Hopefully after reading this hub you will know how to become a wrath of the lich king beta tester.

Basically it works like this:

When blizzard decides to open up for beta testing they will announce it on their website. I don't know if everybody who wants a spot gets one... But you can expect there will be hordes of people trying to get a spot.

You must also be on the lookout for fake invitations.

There are a lot of these fake beta invitations going around. What these people who send out these invitations want is your wow account.

If you ever get a email looking like this it's fake and you could loose your account if you do as they says.

Here is the email you should be on the lookout for. Greetings,

You have been selected by Blizzard Entertainment to take part in our special World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King BETA testing. To participate simply log into your account at the special World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King site at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/wotlkbeta . Be aware of an email like this.

Now lets talk a little about what you will run into if you are selected as a beta tester for wrath of the lich king.

This is the new death knight that you will be able to test if you become a wrath of the lich king beta tester.

The Death Knight Class

The death knight class is one of the classes you will be able to test in wrath of the lich king.

The death knight is the first hero class and you will be able to wreak a lot of havoc with this class. The death knight will mostly be a tank but he will be able to do more things as well.. Like Magic!

The death knight will not be more stronger than the other classes, it will just give you a new perspective how you can play the game.

Another thing that's very cool about this hero class is that it's a tank but it doesn't wear a shield. Imagine the death knight as prince arthas with heavy black cold armor and a gigantic two hand sword.

Update!:

I have some new and cool information about the Death Knight for you..

When WoTLK goes live you will be able to create a Death Knight if you already have a lvl 55 character. You are limited to 1 Death Knight per realm, per account.

So I guess you can't create a death knight on a new realm until you have leveled a character to 55 first.

Anyway, When you create a Death Knight you will be taken through a series of quests that explains the background of the Death Knight and its lore.

The Death Knight will have 3 specializations and they are: Blood, Frost, Unholy - Runic.

The death knight will still be a DPS/Tank hybrid with lots of power under its hood.

Also, the Death Knight have 3 stances available. There are Frost for tanking, Blood for soloing and Unholy - Runic for PvP.

The stances are simillar to the Warriors stances. You will also have a Runic power meter that will give you access to special attacks and abilities/magic when it fills up.

But one cool thing is that the Death Knight will be able to raise ghouls from corpses, both NPC and other players. If you cast this spell on a friendly player who have fallen in combat that player will be able to control the ghoul.

I want to become a beta tester bad =)!

Bestiary of Wrath of the Lich King

You will enounter many new monsters in wrath of the lich king. Here are some of them..

This is also known as the spider people.

Nerubian Vizier

The Nerubian Vizier is 50% spider and 50% human. They first were advisors to the nerubian spiderlords. However after the great spider war they saw their chance of becomming the rulers of the underground kingdom.

Many belive that these spiders are closely connected to the mighty insect race.. The Qiraji. But that's just a rumor..

Never the less.. The Viziers are very powerful.

I don't know if these creatures will be hostile or friendly to you. The only way to know is through beta.

Be aware of these tyranic beasts. Don't run because the will catch you.
Be aware of these tyranic beasts. Don't run because the will catch you.

Plague Eruptor

The Plague Eruptors are not a pretty sight. They are the lich king's dark experiment and they are evil to the bone.

They are made to spread horror and suffering as they roam forward. If you encounter one of these beasts don't run. Because they will outrun you.

You see they are very fast and very strong. They spread the undead plague wherever they go.

The Plague Eruptor is the most destructive and dangerous creature in the lich king's undead army.

Shovel Tusk

The Shovel Tusk is a creature found in Northrend.

They use their gigantic tusks to dig for food. I don't know which food that requires those massive tusks. One thing that is certain is that these creatures are very dangerous.

If you are adventuring into northrend you should be on your guard. These beasts will defend their territory and they outcome will be fatal if you aren't prepared.

Skinners would love to get to skin these beasts because the skin is very valuable and usable.

Iron Dwarf

The dwarfs have dugg deep trying to find out where they first came from. The latest clue in the puzzle comes from digg sites in the howling fjord.

The dwarf's explore's league have dugg really deep and found a new race of dwarfs. The Iron Dwarfs.

These dwarfs have thick and glimmering metallic skin. They also have powerful magic to aid them.

But don't think that these dwarfs are friendly. They have sworn a promise to eridicate the explores league from the face of the earth. Watch out for these dwarfs because they are immensly powerful.

The Taunka

The Taunka is a very though race who live in a strong climate in northrend.

They are a very strong and big race who are related to the tauren race. The Taunka have learned to survive in the deadly wastes of northrend. The temperature here is very low and there aren't so many creatures here.

The Taunka can seem cold and uncaring but when you get close and know them you will soon realise that they have big hearths and are friendly.

Although this race can be a fiercy opponent if you attack them.

  • Totem Talk: Shaman Itemization resists a clever title

Totem Talk is the column for shamans. This installment sees Matthew Rossi contemplating the incoming influx of gear and how current itemization affects shamans. Also, sorry but you get Alliance shamans this week. I can't wait until I can race change to a dwarf. The thing is this: I hate doing gear lists. My editors (I like to imagine them as an old Marvel Comics cosmic entity like The Living Tribunal) quite rightly point out to me from time to time that with Patch 3.3 so close, we're effectively at the end of Wrath of the Lich King and therefore all sorts of new loot will be entering the game. Loot from the new five mans at Ulduar 10/25 quality! Loot from the new raid exceeding all previous iLevels! We'll be awash in the best gear we'll ever see until Cataclysm drops and we start it all over again. And of course they're right. It helps me to accept this if I imagine that cosmic entity spinning a giant head around with different faces on it like Reliquary of Souls. (No, sorry, we didn't call it Reliquary of Souls all those weeks just to be corrected by Blizzard. Heck, you guys even brought it back in Icecrown.) The next couple of weeks, however, I'm going to look not at gear but at itemization itself and how it interacts with shamans. I was inspired by the change to Elemental Mastery, the talent in the elemental combat tree that currently grants 15% crit when activated as well as making your next spell instant cast. On the surface, this doesn't look like a bad talent all told, so why would we even want to change it? Because of the way shaman talents and spells interact, an extra 15% chance to crit is somewhat useless to an elemental shaman. Specifically, we're talking about Flame Shock and Lava Burst. Because of these two spells and their interaction, elemental shamans can basically crit every eight seconds or so. They can guarantee an Elemental Focus clearcasting state to reduce mana cost by 40%. Stacking crit doesn't really do anything for them: they're going to crit anyway. Most of the elemental tree has synergy with spell haste in comparison, with abilities like Lightning Mastery and Storm, Earth and Fire already reducing cast time on various spells.Continue reading Totem Talk: Shaman Itemization resists a clever titleFiled under: Shaman, The Burning Crusade, (Shaman) Totem Talk, Wrath of the Lich King, CataclysmTotem Talk: Shaman Itemization resists a clever title originally appeared on WoW.com on Sat, 28 Nov 2009 18:00:00 EST. • The Care and Feeding of Warriors: A Warrior's Bounty

The Care and Feeding of Warriors is about tree sloths. Why do you do this to me? We all know it's about warriors as written by an extremely hairy man who crouches in a dark corner of his apartment muttering about block value vs block rating until his wife hits him with the hose. Matthew Rossi fears the hose. Completely unrelated to anything even tangentially warrior in WoW: Dragon Skin Armor. We're one step closer to gigantic magical battle axes being viable in modern warfare. Since it's a holiday in the States (which I'm from, although not currently residing in) and because I'll take any excuse to gorge myself on turkey flesh and loll around in a swollen food coma (like, say, last week, when I used the fact that I'd washed red clothing with white clothing and now have a lovely pair of bright pink underwear and I don't care if you know) I thought this week we could compile a list of things we, as warriors, can be grateful for. If it's really an issue for you, assume it's Pilgrim's Bounty of something. Anyway, let's you and I get our best grateful faces on (that's me being grateful up there, in case you couldn't tell) and discuss things we as warriors can appreciate. Charge/Intercept/Intervene - I'm not sure what people in Azeroth actually pray to when they pray to the Light... it seems like an abstract benevolence slightly akin to the Force from the Star Wars series...but whatever it is, thanks for Charge and its iterations, boy howdy. No other ability can be seen to be as iconic and representative of a class (only Death Grip and Totems come close) as the warrior ability to get from point A to point B in order to put point C into something, or prevent point D from going into that helpful person in a leather miniskirt or what have you.
