When I first came across websites that claim they would pay me to write articles for them, and would pay me to do it I was skeptical to say the least. I figured they might just steal my writings, and I would never see a cent for all my hard work.

But I decided to give one a try after reading what other people had to say. That they had been paid, and it wasn't a scam. The first site I wrote articles for was Squidoo. I choose to start out with two articles to see how much money I could make.

It was pretty unimpressive at first, I made about $0.50 per month per article for my first few months at Squidoo. Still to this day I don't think I have fully unlocked the earnings potential of Squidoo. Currently I am average $5.00 a month with their site over 15 articles. I have stopped writing for that site because I don't think it's worth my effort.

Another site I write for is eHow. It let's you create simple and brief instructions on how to do something. I am having alot more success with this site. For one thing it only takes me about half an hour to complete an article, and they let you make links to that article in their directory so I'm sure the search engines will crawl it. I've already gotten a couple hundred page views in a month and a half. They seem to credit my account everytime a reader clicks on an ad. So far I've made $2.00 for my first month and that's only with 5 articles.

From my experience you won't be able to make enough money just by writing articles to pay the bills, but it is nice to get a little extra money everymonth just by sharing your knowledge with the world.
