Nepal is a prime destination for those intereste in history, culture and religion. The Kathmandu valley is cultural center of Nepal. The Kathmandu Valley is covered with numerous historical monuments. At every turn one encounters beautiful pagodas, instricately carved wooden windows, huge stone images and inconspicious shrines. In the valley alone seven World Heritage Sit have been designated by UNESCO all within radius of 20 km.

According to the legend valley once stood as a huge lake. A buddhist saint named Manjushree sliced a passage through the mountain walls, drained the water and created Kathmandu Valley. An extra ordinary richness of culture developed during centuries of isolation has endowed the ancient cities of Kathmandu Valley with a legacy of temples, shrines and places of magnificent form and unequalled craftsmanship.

One can observe Nepal's major festival in October-December. Among them the Hindus greatest festival Dashain is celebrated by all the Nepalese in a grand manner. This is a festival of family reunion,blessing from elders, exchange of gifts, profuse pujas, rituals bathing, animal sacrifices, visiting temples and feasting . The Second biggest festival of Hindus, Tihar the festival of light is celebrated throught the country. Crows, dogs, cows, bulls and brothers are honored on this festival.

Nepal is a country rich and colorful in scenery , history and festivals, so you will find no end of things to do and place to see while you are here.

Entry Procedures and Rules:

Foreigner who intends to visit Nepal must hold valid passport or any travel document equivalent to passport issued by the Government for visiting a foreign country prior to apply for visa.

Entry: No foreigner is entitled to enter into and stay in the Kingdom of Nepal without valid visa. Tourist entry visa can be obtained either on arrival in Nepal or from Embassy or Consulate or other mission offices of Nepal abroad. Tow passport size photographs required.

Visitors who are entering Nepal for the first time in visa year(Jan-Dec)

Single Entry 60 Days US$30 or equivalent NPR Currency

Multiple Entry 60 Days US$80 or equivalent NPR currency

Multiple entry will be valid for a visa year (150 days in a visa year).
