Use online article marketing, the best free promotion tool to boost your web traffic, bring your targeted audience to your web site's new content, and propel your business profits over the moon.

Targeted visitors to blogs and article directories like www.hubpages.com and www.ezinearticles.com want your free information. They want your free web writing online to help others. They love concise, compelling articles because no one has a lot of time to read. They love to skim your information, so be sure to include headings. And if possible, number your how to points.

Use this article formula like the law of attraction to manifest customer trust, confidence, and compel them to become a participant, giving feedback on blogs, coming to a free talk or teleseminar, and eventually to buy your book or service.

How to Outline and Write A Short Article for Big Visibility

  • Create a clear focus or topic for the title, benefit-driven so your target audience will feel compelled to read your article. Put pizzazz, spunk, and excitement into your title. Dare to be outrageous and provocative! One favorite is "Boomerang, Don't Rickochet Your Web Targeted Visitors."
  • Create a snappy one to three-sentence introduction preceded by a hook to pull your readers into your copy. Make it rich in key words so Google and other search engines will rank your web higher. Let your targeted audience know how your article will improve their lives or business, such as more time, money, sex, communication, or business profits.
  • Know your article's purpose and specific audience and angle it with a particular slant or focus just for them. This article's audience includes business people who want to market their book or service through a short article. It appeals to home based business people, small businesses, entrepreneurs, coaches and others with a book or service to sell. It appeals to web site publishers, blogs, and ezine publishers who want free articles to attract new customers.
  • Create your article outline with four to six major points you want to make before you write.

My outline and headings for this article include the six ways to write a short article.

  1. Write for Your Targeted Market, Audience, Field, and/or Niche.
  2. Write an Outline, or Mind-Map, or Sketch First.
  3. Write Every Paragraph to Support Your Outline Headings and Topics.
  4. Write An Outline With Four-Six Sub Points for Your Readers to Follow.
  5. Write Two-Four Sentences for Each Paragraph for Cleaner, Precise Copy.
  6. Create Four to Six Paragraphs from Your Outline - Just Enough to Give Them What They Need.
  7. Revise Copy Looking for Ways to Tighten Your Article and Be As Direct as Possible.

Remember each sentence must support the thesis statement, or your article's main point and major benefit of how you will solve your reader's particular challenge. In this one, I give you 6 solutions for creating a short online article.

  • Create four to six paragraphs from your outline. All sub points must also support the thesis. Write concise, compelling paragraphs that explain and give specific examples. If you write over 120 words in a paragraph, tighten your copy. Leave out stories or analogies, online readers rarely have time for these. Shorten examples, cut redundant sentences, phrases, and words. Drop most "is" verb forms and "ands," active voice connects better than passive voice! "Is" and "ands" slow the copy and the reader down, a huge sin in writing. Bored readers will leave if you do not use vital, action verbs and colorful nouns and metaphors.
  • Revise copy looking for ways to improve your article.

Follow these formatting techniques...

  1. Use bullets to clarify, shorten, and be direct with your copy.
  2. Reduce or eliminate quotes and anecdotes.
  3. Replace -ly adverbs and adjectives with picture or feeling power verbs and nouns.
  4. Let go of superfluous words like "that."
  5. Use one or two-syllable words for readable, direct copy.

Articles and Keywords Build Clients

Tens of Thousands visit these sites like EzineArticles and HubPages daily looking for free information on your topic. These highly ranked sites bring your website targeted traffic. Your article gives your audience a sample of YOU like a sample of Mrs. Field's tollhouse cookies, and leads them back to where you sell your products and services.

Quality, lesser used, popular niche keywords within your articles are important for two reasons.

One, by using niche keywords and phrases you undercut the big business competition already directing potential clients to their services.

Two, you implement exact phrases people actually type in to find your services, leading them directly to you. It will increase website rank for your pages and hence more visitors. Which means more potential sales of your products and services.

Expand your knowledge of keywords through investigating a free keyword enhancer such as Google's Adwords Keyword Tool. This particular program asks you first to include your main keyword or phrase. For different article focuses that I write such as author, self-publishing, article marketing, how to write a book, web 2.0 articles, I found various other related key words.

I also put a sample of my audiences who will read these articles and buy my books and programs. So, it's good to know your particular audience, so you can load your article up with keywords about them too.

When the expanded keyword list comes up, notice the categories at the top of the screen. The first one is Advertiser Competition. When this bar is completely filled in or 3/4 filled, this phrase won't be useful to you because it is already saturated as highly popular and many companies on the Internet already pull from this potential client pool. But if half full or less, go ahead and use this one.

In the second category, notice Search Volume-by month. The fuller the bar, the more people are using this particular phrase, and the more likely someone will find you by your including it in your article. The next column is Average Search Volume where you'll see numers of people searching with those key words. That's a good sign and you should use that key word phrase if possible.

Some people pay for these in Adwords and use other services, but you can use them free in this program. It's especially good because you get key words with tails--the exact longer, specific phrases people put into Google when they are looking for help.

When you enhance your keywords you get noticed a lot more from Google and others.

Hire a Virtual Assistant for Online Article Marketing

You want big book sales, you want to build business, and you want to make a difference in people's lives--to share unique information. You can make your internet marketing more expansive and profitable when you hire a virtual assistant or in house computer assistant.

Using my article marketing books with how tos on writing an article and lists of URLS for top article directories and blogs, I write articles while my assistant submits them. We each spend about an hour a day, even less, growing my article marketing network.

Maybe you are like me six years ago - you are a newbie or even a non-techie with online marketing. My first ad brought me great talent from a local high school. These students knew a lot about the internet and helped me immensely. Distributing 10 articles in the beginning, over the years my article writing grew to over posting over 250 articles on the 20 top ezine directories and now blogs. The more articles out on over 100,000 web sites, the more book sales and clients grew.

If you own a company or a web site, you need to spend time and money on good sales copy. To be a smart in small business marketing or to sell a lot of books and products, you need to delegate some of the administrative work.

As soon as you believe that marketing is an investment and not an expense, you will gladly pay your assistant $100-$200 a month to make you 20 times or more that investment. And, you then have more time to create wealth in other ways.

Here's the ad that brought me great assistants who stayed way over a year with me. I posted a similar ad with www.craigslist.com where I paid $10-$13 an hour.

Dabling Mum, the article game keeps changing. WE did short articles too, but for Google combined a few so they would be longer for better search engine action.
