Writing Because I Like to Write
68Love of Writing
Are you like me? You just love to put words on paper, see how they look, change them around if not just right?
Is your writing just for research so that other people can learn from your time and efforts? I have heard this can be a good way of making money, and especially from working at home.
I like to write stories. Do you ever just sit and make up some wonderful story, you know the world would love to read, and just rip it up and throw it away?
I've done things like that over and over throughout the years. What about your high school years? Have you ever written about something really funny that happened then?
Do you ever stay up late at night, when everyone is asleep, and write that poem that has been dancing around in your head all day?
Writing can be a way of making new friends, and thankfully (sometimes) finding old ones.
Writing because you like to write can be very stress-relieving. Who can fight back from characters you make up and put into a story? Who can tell you that the things you are creating are wrong?
So, what if the words in that poem don't always rhyme? Will someone strike you across your hand with a ruler, as mine was in second grade? Okay, it wasn't because I wrote the wrong words.
All I did was look out the window. Ouch, did that ever hurt!
Do you have a story you can tell?

Oh, dear. I had a nice long comment written and clicked on the wrong button some way.
Yes, some people are maybe more educated, but they may not use the words or ideas we use.
I like to think someone might enjoy reading something I write. Most of which is on the site with that sounds like a balloon! I hope I don't get into trouble saying that.
Do write a book. I should also. I'm thinking of one about our ancestors coming in on wagon trains. 1800's, different locations.
Three of my ancestors were in a hunting party with Daniel Boone. One was killed. This is in a Missouri Historical magazine. Search your family!
Happy Easter to All and Happy Spring! Betty Jo
Betty Jo - How are you doing and how are you feeling? My ancestors include Daniel Boone, too! My great-grandmother's maiden name was Boone! Isn't it a small world?
Hope you are feeling okay. Diabetes can be so maddening.
SORRY, but no, I wasn't related to the Boone's that I know of. My ancestors went on an expedition with him.
But, I wonder what else we could learn? They were and this is true: Shadrach, Meshack, and Obednego Inman! I would love to have a copy of that magazine.
It's amazing what you can discover on the Internet. I found pictures of my great-grandparents, and great-great grandparents, which I didn't have.
Wow, who knows, we might be related! But at least, we know they were probably friends. I think it was Meshack that was killed, by the Indian attack.
Send me a comment and we can talk more. bjp
Hi, Yes i Love to write! I am going to be a published writer soon... Yes it is true words just come out of my mind and land on the paper/ computer without any effort... sometimes i dream and then write stories on them... i never think hard for the stories they just come to me! Then i just put them in words... it just like aautomatic button and click ON and then i just sit and write!
I like to hear people write just because they like writing, thanks.
That's the great things about blogs. You don't have to be a professional writer to share your thoughts, insights, and knowledge.
Writing wherever we can, in my opinion, helps make us better. Maybe someone out there will see what we write and be glad to read it. I hope for that.
I am not a great writer, but I do like writing Poetry, Creative Writing, a little research things trying to help in some way.
As far as blogs, I wouldn't want to tread through blogs to try to find something I want to read. Although, I do think blogs are a good starting place.
betty jo, I love writing too. I wrote two novels but of course I dont actually have the write way, what with clauses and correct sentences etc so they would never get published. I had a couple of poems published but not for money. I love to waffle on its a good feeling.
