Writing Five Hubs a Day

Writing Online

When you write online for websites such as HubPages and other online publishers, it helps a great deal to establish and follow through on your writing goals. One such goal that is a pretty lofty one, but that is also attainable if you really apply yourself, is the goal of writing five Hubs a day for a designated period of time, such as a week or a month. (Just think, if you stick to this plan for an entire thirty day period, you will ultimately have created 150 Hubs.)

If you are seeking motivation, think of each of your Hubs (and any other articles you may write for other online writing websites) as a little "sales representative" for your online writing business. After all, each Hub that you write will be monetized in one or more ways, perhaps by using Google Adsense, or maybe by using the Amazon Affiliates program. This means that each Hub has the potential to earn you money. And the longer your Hubs are posted, the more potential they have to earn you more money because the older an article (or Hub) is, the more respect it garners in the search engines. So if you are creating Hubs (and/or other online articles) at a rate of five per day, you are increasing your earning potential with each new Hub that you write.

Hubs Writing Challenges

When embarking on a challenge like writing five Hubs a day, it helps to do some or all of your research for your Hub writing in advance. The research stage of the process includes finding keywords you think are appropriate by using tools such as the Google Adsense Keyword Tool and/or any other similar keyword tools that you find helpful. It helps to write about what you know, but this does not mean that you should completely shy away from subjects about which you know less. Just be ready to spend some time researching these less familiar topics so that you can be sure to write about them accurately.

Set aside enough time for yourself to be able to achieve your goal of writing five hubs a day. For many people, this is the most challenging aspect of a project like this. After all, in many ways, time is your most precious commodity. If you have a family and/or if you are working other jobs in addition to writing online, carving out those precious hours for writing new HubPages (or other online articles) can be one of your greatest challenges. However, if you are serious about achieving this goal and rising to this challenge that you have set for yourself, you will probably be able to find the time. Remind yourself that you don’t have to go on writing at this pace forever. (It can be very helpful to keep telling yourself that this Hubs writing challenge that you have set for yourself is a time limited one.)

To Outsource or Not To Outsource: That is The Question

Some Internet Marketing gurus and others who write online for a living would make the argument that you could consider outsourcing the actual writing of some or all of your Hubs or other online articles, especially when taking on a challenge like writing five Hubs a day. In such a scenario, you would want to come up with the topics and the specific keywords for the Hubs on your own for the writer(s) that you hire to work with. You would also want to review and edit any outsourced articles thoroughly before publishing them under your name. After all, whether you opt to outsource or not, it is your own reputation as an online writer that is at stake.

I'm thinking of getting one of those programs where you speak and words appear on your screen in a word processing program. I could definitely write hubs that way and speak more freely. Is that an okay way to do things or does that qualify as cheating? My fingers can't always keep up with my brain.

What a great idea! I think that would work really well.
