Writing Sites That Can Make You Money
72
Since July of 2008, I have been writing online. Squidoo was my very first site I had started out with. I was looking for ways to make money online and then found I can write online and make money from that. I was instantly addicted to it. Slowly my Star Trek simming addiction has gone away and has been replaced by publishing articles online.
I didn't know that this was out there otherwise I would have started a lot sooner. Some of the trouble I have had in the Star Trek Community would have been less if not, non existing. A little bit about those communities is that there is a lot of high school like drama. This is not what this hub is all about. Here I am going to show you some of the sites I have tried that I think that I worth looking into.
Don't Put All Of Your Eggs In One Basket
I don't believe keeping all of my articles all on the same site. The reason I feel that way is if one day a site decides to closed down, you loose money. Yes you may be losing money, but you have a backup plan for when that does happen and you are not losing all of your income. Another reason going with multiple sites, you have a better earning potential and you are maximizing it this way.
Squidoo
Squidoo is a site that I had started out with and I still continue on writing on. The amount of lenses that I have over there has grown and I love the site. I am currently a giant squid over there which means I have made over 50 quality lenses. You don't make giant squid if you have crappy lenses and it has to be at least 50. More is always better.
Hubpages
This is the site that this hub is being written on. I heard about hubpages through squidoo and obviously I had to check this place out. Both sites there are aways people whom are trying to compare each other site. Really the two are totally two different sites with different objectives. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. If you can write a squidoo lens, you can write a hub as writing hubs in my eyes is very easy to do.
Helium
Helium is another site I write on. I have not been paid through them yet as I have not hit the $25 payout but each month, I have inched closer to it. I have 1 writing star and 5 rating stars through them so since I have been keeping a 5 star rating stars, I am guarantied $3 added to my account. I also make money on if I publish a new article and if I get any traffic to my articles. The thing about the articles is that we do compete with others in articles.
Associate Content
Associate Content is another site I have tried out. I have made some money from them. In addition to getting up front, which is a good way to go, you can also make money through pageviews. It does seem hard to make money on pageviews, but slowly it is going up for me.
Gather and Adds You
Buskia
Buskia is another site that I have tried. Slowly I have been making money through the articles I have written online through them, but it is a slow process too.
Ciao
Ciao is another site that I have tried. This is a product review site and its really easy to hit payout. I think that it is worth trying. The first month that I was there, I got paid a bit over $5. The way it works is you review, but you only make money based off of ratings.
It Adds Up
It really does add up writing for multiple sites. What is great about it, is that if you do get bored with one site, you can go on to another and work with that one for a while. Some pay through paypal and some you have to use your adsense account.

Useful review of the different options, thanks!
Hope you don't mind me saying, and delete this comment if you do, but the hubpages section could do with re-reading and spill chickening (-:
