Taking some time off of working on the road I came across a cool video.

It's neat to me because some guy, who has another video which is known by geeks the world over took a song from one of my favorite groups of crazy guys named Screaming Mechanical Brain.

The song is Wundershozen, which comes off of Screaming Mechanical Brain's second official release entitled "There is No God in Space."

That album is a total mind screw of punk techno whatever ya wanna call it...it melds philosophy with Nintendo youth.

The reason I love this song so much, besides the ever changing vibe and extensive change ups to vocal approach is that the lyrics are very relevant today.

I'm looking to have fun with music videos in the future.

Do you know what the easiest tools are to do something of this sort? I understand how to pull out game characters, change their items to any desire, what not have you.

What I'm looking for is two things:

Anyone who has made a video such as this, and why you use what you use and

A good 3D character modeling software, hopefully open source.
