X-Files 2 New Pictures

Mulder and Scully are back. If you haven't heard about it you've most probably been living under a rock. The first official photos have emerged from the movie. These are not like the photos taken on location just before Christmas.

Chris Carter has mentioned in recent interviews that this film will be a stand alone, and not part of the conspiracy arc. Other than that he has been tight on details, except for releasing the occasional picture such as these, to whet people's appetites.

Because Chris Carter is playing his hand so close to his chest all the information we really have is what is being reported by the press, which is really variations of the same thing over and over again: It will be a Monster of the Week type movie, no Mytharc and centred around Mulder and Scully. It may or may not be after the series.

Doggett and Reyes, the two FBI agents of later years will not be in the movie. Annabeth Gish as recently confirmed this piece of information. If there's a third movie there is a good chance they will be in that instead.

So, at this stage, there's not a lot to go on. There's just the few photos you see here.

What Chris Carter has done over the last couple of weeks Chris Carter is announced other guest stars including Amanda Peet and Xzibit, who were seen in the earlier photos on set with Duchovny, before Anderson joined the cast in Vancouver.

Other announced guest stars include Billy O'Connor, and Callum Keith Rennie.
