Xbox 360 Repair At Home Guide

Is you Xbox 360 suffering from the horrible three red lights? If so, then the 3 red lights fix which you can do at home is worth considering. In order to fix your xbox 360, you may want to attempt xbox 360 troubleshooting to assess the problem. What you will learn from this hub is that you can do your xbox 360 fix without leaving home.

When taking the first step in xbox 360 repair, make sure that your system is clean, with proper air flow. One of the main reasons a system will malfunction is that it's overheating. To improve the airflow to your system, try blowing compressed air into the slots on the back and sides of your system. Try to do this outside, as there may be a lot of dust in your system, and you don't want all that dust in your house.

Once you have completed this task, make sure to place your Xbox somewhere where it will not overheat while in use. The inside of a television cabinet or stacked above or below other electronics is not a good location. The Xbox should have access to fresh air so that heat can dissipate.

Disassembling your xbox 360 for further damage inspection is not prohibited, but you should be fully aware that when you perform xbox 360 fix on your own, the original warranty is voided. Do repairs on your own only if your system is out of warranty.

Begin by taking off the faceplate. Next take off the bottom vent plate, which is gray. The tabs need to be released. There are 6 of them. Pull up on the plate while you release the table. The next step is to remove the top plate. It is just like the bottom plate. The only difference is that it is only held by 3 tabs. Once you remove this plate, the last step is to take the plate off that is across from the top plate.

After removal of the plates, the console may be opened. You will hear a series of clicks as the case is removed. This is normal, and is the sound of the tabs securing the case to the system being released. Removal of the lid will reveal the chassis. Simply remove the six screws and you have completed the disassembly of the Xbox 360.
