Xbox 360 Repair

The awesome Xbox 360 was thought of as the response to Sony's up and coming PS3, a gaming console that would take gaming to the next stratoshpere and better the level of gaming that Sony's Ps2 had enjoyed. Developed by one of the most powerful companies in the world (Microsoft) it looked very promising, the graphics were unbelievable and the game play exceeded the expectations of die hard console fans. But when dealing with software or hardware, there are possibilities that things may not go as they had been envisioned. Unfortunatley, with the Xbox 360, this all became too well documented after it released and a large amount of blogs around the internet began reporting cases of hardware failure that ultimately meant an Xbox 360 repair was the remedy.

Thought to be the most common cause of the Xbox's problems was overheating. Due to the nonstop playing of games that these machines were experiencing they began to get excessively hot which meant the Xbox required an Xbox 360 repair. Poor ventilation was another reason that some of these units were experiencing hardware crashes.

If you do experience a dilemma with your Xbox then the next thing you will want to take is to check to see if you are under contract. If you are one of the fortunate that still do have a warranty then that's great, you can either choose to have a substitute console or and Xbox 360 Repair. Make sure however that if your Xbox is still under warranty you should not try and open the units at any cost as this will in fact cancel your contract and you will not be able to get a free Xbox 360 repair. But if on the other hand, you have had your Xbox 360 for a long time and it no longer is under contract you may want to try and fix the Xbox 360 yourself or you can opt to send it to a Xbox 360 repair service center where they can repair it for you at a fee that is likely to be in excess of $100. In addition you will have to wait a few weeks before they can actually repair it and send it back to you. As we said before you may want to try an Xbox 360 repair by your self.

There are many guides that are now obtainable on the internet that can take you step by step through the repair process. I recommend that if you do get one of these guides that you make sure they offer video instructions as well, as just the proceedure of taking apart the Xbox 360 can be quite frightening itself but when you are actually seeing somebody do it you can follow along which makes the whole proceedure easier.

There are currently a few blogs that offer eBook and detailed video instructions of Xbox disassembly, the Xbox repair itself and of course the Xbox reassembly so you should take your time when selecting which product to purchase. The Xbox 360 repair itself often is quite simple and can done in only 60 minutes.

Fix Broken Xbox 360's

Thanks to Microsoft being so careless when they constructed the Xbox 360 there are now a lot of bargain Xbox 360's available on auction sites all throughout the world.

The majorities of these Xbox 360 have the 3 red ring error, or as it's better known as the 3 rings of death. Fixing them is not that difficult in itself thanks to the numerous number of Xbox 360 repair guides that are now available on the internet. Take a look below on EBay for example, there you will see some broken Xbox 360's which aren't really broken, they just need a couple of things to be done and they are as good as new.

For those of you who would like a bit of extra pocket money, this throws up the perfect opportunity to make some extra cash. All you need to do is purchase an Xbox 360 Repair Guide and buy the "broken" consoles off EBay or your local auction site. Fix them up and relist them and make a tidy profit on every console. Quite a few people do this and make some nice extra money doing so.

I do not recommend that you purchase any of the Xbox 360 repair guides off EBay because they are rubbish, I know because that's where I purchased my first guides. The instructions were gibberish and the pictures were poor. Luckily I came across a few better guides which can be found above in the video (above this text) and was able to not only fix my Xbox easily, but I too now purchase "broken" Xbox's off our local auction site.

So whether you're looking to fix your Xbox 360 or you are looking to make some easy cash, I recommend that you purchase one of the guides in the above video as they provide detailed instructions that can take you from an Xbox novice to a super Xbox repair man!
