The Living God established with AbraHam an Everlasting Covenant. Which still effects his descendants today. If you did not know, AbraHam established an Everlasting Covenant with God Almighty (AL Shaday -GENESIS 17: 2).

Please consider the following :

..."And I will establish My Covenant between Me and you and your descendants throughout their generations for an EVERLASTING COVENANT, and I will be God to YOU and to YOUR descendants after you"... -GENESIS 17: 7

..."BE MINDFUL OF HIS COVENANT FOR EVER, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations, EVEN His oath to 'AbraHam and the covenant which He made with the son's of Isaac; And He confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, AND TO ISRAEL FOR AN EVERLASTING COVENANT"... -1 CHRONICLES 16: 15-17

GOD BECAME THE HUSBAND OF ISRAEL

..."For your HUSBAND is your Maker, Whose name is the Lord of Hosts (YHWH TSABAOT); And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; Who is called the God of all the earth"... -ISAIAH 54: 5

..."Who is called the God of all the earth"...

The above Scripture states plainly that Israel was infact the Wife of YHWH. The Marriage contract between YHWH (The Husband) and Israel (The Wife) was the Covenant that Moses established at Mount Horeb (Mount Sinai), which contained all of the terms of that marriage contract, and the Blessings and Curses therein. Please consider -EXODUS 34: 27:

..."And YHWH said to Moses, Write these words; for by these words I have made a Covenant with you and with ALL ISRAEL"... -EXODUS 34: 27

Now, the terms of the Covenant between YHWH and Israel contained Ten Commandments. The main condition of this marriage was that the Wife (the congregation of Israel -PSALM 135: 4), would not become an adulteress. Let's have a look at a few of the clauses of this marriage contract found in the Book of -EXODUS :

..."You shall have no other Gods before Me"... -EXODUS 20: 3

..."You shall not make for yourself any graven image, or likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I YHWH your God am a jealous God, visiting the offenses of the fathers upon their children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me"... -EXODUS 20: 4-5

..."You shall not commit adultery"... -EXODUS 20: 14

Now readers, what finally happened in this relationship between Israel and YHWH is that, the congregation of Israel (the Wife of YHWH) became an adulteress who would be judged according to the terms of the marriage contract. Let's go to -EZEKIEL 16: 30 :

..."How shall I judge you, O daughter (Israel), says YHWH ALHYM, seeing that you did all these things, the works of a whore and a rebellious woman?"... -EZEKIEL 16: 30

Now, because Israel breached the marriage contract by committing adultery, YHWH then made judgment on her according to the terms set forth in the marriage contract, and put her away because of her adultery and ended the Mt. Horeb (Mt. Sinai) Covenant (the marriage contract). Let us now go to -JEREMIAH 31: 32 :

..."Not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt; AND BECAUSE THEY NULLIFIEFD MY COVENANT, so I also despised THEM, says YHWH"... -JEREMIAH 31: 32

Please Pay Very Close Attention To What Scripture States:

..."AND BECAUSE THEY (Israel) NULLIFIED MY COVENANT, so I also despised THEM, says YHWH"...

Scripture clearly states that the Covenant which YHWH (the Husband) and Israel (the Wife) had together, was nullified, by Israel. That means that it does not exist anymore as far as YHWH is concerned. So YHWH despised His Wife (Israel) on account of her adultery.

YHWH DOES NOT LIE! So, as YHWH promised Blessings to His Wife (Israel) if she faithfully followed His Voice and Commandments, He also promised her Curses if she did not take heed to His Words. In consequence YHWH gave a Bill of Divorce to His Wife Israel because of her adultery. Let us continue on and take a look at -JEREMIAH 3: 7-8 :

..."And I said after she had done all these things, Return to Me, but she did not return. And her perverseness was seen by her sister Judah. And she saw all Israel's evil-doings. And because the inhabitants of Israel committed adultery, I had put her away and given a Bill of Divorce; yet her perverse sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also"... -JEREMIAH 3: 7-8

Please Take Note :

..."And because the inhabitants of Israel committed adultery, I had put her away and given a Bill of Divorce"...

The result is that the Curses that YHWH promised Israel if she did not take heed to His Voice and Commandments were invoked. Why? Simply because these promised Blessings -DEUTERONOMY 28:1-14, and Curses -DEUTERONOMY 28: 15-67; were also the conditions of the marriage contract (Covenant) between YHWH and His Wife (Israel), and as promised, they had to be fullfilled. YHWH CANNOT LIE!

So, YHWH divorced Israel, and the curses that YHWH invoked on Israel still effect their descendants today. Israel transgressed against YHWH by not taking heed to His Voice and Laws, and so they received the Curses recorded as terms of the marriage contract (Covenant) which was established at Mt. Horeb (Mt. Sinai). YHWH invoked these curses on them and on their descendants, even to this very day and generation, BECAUSE HIS WIFE ISRAEL BROKE
THE COVENANT!

The Levitical priesthood was also ended in consequence. Let us now go to -HOSEA 4: 6:

..."My people (Israel) are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, and you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children"... -HOSEA 4: 6

..."Seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children"...

YHWH ended the Levitical priesthood throughout all generations, even until this very day. Why? Because of the whoredom of the priests of Israel.

ALL ISRAEL WAS PUNISHED!

According to the Holy Bible, it was Israel (the Wife of YHWH) who was punished for breaking the Covenant. Let us now go to -EZEKIEL 39: 23-24 :

..."AND THE GENTILES SHALL KNOW THAT THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL WAS CARRIED INTO CAPTIVITY FOR THEIR INIQUITY; because they transgressed against Me, therefore I turned away My face from them and delivered them into the hand of those who hate them, and they all fell by the sword. According to their abominations and according to their iniquity have I rewarded them; and I turned away My Face from them"... -EZEKIEL 39: 23-24

Let's continue:

..."BEHOLD, YHWH WILL CARRY YOU AWAY WITH A MIGHTY CAPTIVITY, AND WILL SURELY FORSAKE YOU.HE WILL SURELY VIOLENTLY TURN AND TOSS YOU LIKE A BALL INTO A LARGE COUNTRY: THERE YOU SHALL DIE, AND THERE THE CHARIOTS OF YOUR GLORY SHALL BE THE SHAME OF YOUR MASTER'S HOUSE. AND I WILL TAKE AWAY YOUR GLORY, AND WILL CAST YOU DOWN FROM YOUR POSITION"... -ISAIAH 22: 17-19

Let's now go on from here to -LUKE 21: 24 :

..."And they (Israel and Judah) will fall by the edge of the sword, and they will be taken captive to every country: and Jerusalem will be trodden under the feet of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles comes to an end"... -LUKE 21: 24

THE PROMISE OF A NEW COVENANT

But YHWH, The All Merciful One, also Promised His Wife (Israel) a Renewed Covenant (to remarry her) :

..."Behold, the days are coming, says YHWH, when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah"... -JEREMIAH 31: 31

Please Take Note to what Scripture states :

..."The days are coming, says YHWH, when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah"...

It is plain and clear that the Covenant established on Mt. Horeb (Mt. Sinai) was totally nullified. But YHWH promised to establish a New Covenant (to remarry Israel). Why? Because YHWH promised that His marriage (Covenant) would be an everlasting Covenant. In other words His Wife Israel would be His eternal heritage.

But, here is the problem. Now, the only thing that was stoping this New Covenant (the remarriage with Israel) was that, the very law that YHWH had given in the first marriage contract (the Old Covenant) would not permit YHWH to remarry with Israel. Please let's consider -DEUTERONOMY 24: 1-4 :

..."When a man takes a wife and marries her, and it happens that she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a Bill of Divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out from his house, and she leaves his house and goes and becomes another man's wife, and if the second husband turns against her and writes her a Bill of Divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, OR IF THE SECOND HUSBAND DIES WHO TOOK HER TO BE HIS WIFE, THEN HER FIRST HUSBAND WHO SENT HER AWAY IS NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE HER AGAIN TO BE HIS WIFE, SINCE SHE HAS BEEN DEFILED; for that is an abomination before YHWH, and you shall not bring sin on the land which YHWH your God gives you as an inheritance"... -DEUTERONOMY 24: 1-4

Please Take Note :

..."IF THE SECOND HUSBAND DIES WHO TOOK HER TO BE HIS WIFE, THEN HER FIRST HUSBAND WHO SENT HER AWAY IS NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE HER AGAIN TO BE HIS WIFE"...

So, according to His own Law, YHWH could not remarry the same wife (Israel) again. So, the curses still continued on! That is why Jesus was sent -LUKE 1: 26-33. To save the descendants of Israel from the eternal curses of the Marriage Covenant -JOHN 1: 29. YHWH could not take Israel back! So He sent His Son -JOHN 3: 16-18.

Today, New Jerusalem (the Bride, the Lamb's Wife -REVELATION 21: 9); is now betrothed (engaged to be married as a virgin) to JESUS CHRIST -2 CORINTHIANS 11: 2. Under a New Covenant -HEBREWS 8: 6-13.

..."O you descendants of AbraHam His servant, children of Jacob, HIS CHOSEN ONES"... -1 CHRONICLES 16: 13
