WEIGHT LOSS
Weight gain is common in modern lifestyle. Now lifestyles have become inactive, and high calorie food more easy to obtain. Today our children prefer T.V. and video/computer games over their friends and play, Sometime is we too prefer T.V. over socializing or even over spending time with their children. These are only a small reasons, which have resulted people with the problem of excess weight or obesity.
The common problem of weight gain are Stress, wrong food habits (i.e. irregular timings for food, unhealthy (junk) food), lack of exercise, thyroid problem etc.
The best move to lose weight is regularity. Yoga offers the best solution to this problem. Yoga tones the body in a uniformed manner, unlike any " weight loss program" which claims to decrease your belly by this much inches and waist by this much, which leads to side effects. The best part of Yoga is that it can be practiced at any age to keep the body flexible.
A very effective plan to reduce weight naturally is:
Cleansing techniques: -
Kunjal Kriya (Which includes stomach wash and lung cleansing by water)
In Kunjal Kriya, user drink a lot of warm water. (As much as possible). He then bend and pushes the water out from his stomach. This activity clears the stomach and help to exercise the lungs. It is necessary , user should be empty stomach and should practice this exercise early morning without having breakfast or drinks tea or coffee.
Basti (colon cleansing) In Ayurveda enemas are called Basti
Laghu Shankha Prakshalan (digestive system cleansing technique) Take 8 glasses of lukewarm water and stir in 2 teaspoons of rock salt. Drink 2 glasses of water in a gulp. Now we have to do the following set of exercises dynamically with breath awareness and control.
1) Taad Asana
2) Teeryaktaad Asana
3) Ardhkatti Chakraasana
4) Teeryak Bhujang Asana
5) Udarakarshan Asana
Repeat this set for seven times
CAUTION: Do not put pressure, allow your body to function on its own. Relax completely for 45 minutes, by lying down without sleeping. You should Keep your stomach light by intake of a light meal. Do these asanas only under the strict supervision of an expert...
Yoga Asans (postures)
Sun Salute (Need to be Practise twice and require to hold each pose for 3 breaths), Angle pose, Tree pose, Triangle pose, Locust pose, Hero pose I and II, Cobra pose, Aeroplane pose, Camel pose, Child pose (sitting), Spinal twists (sitting & dynamic poses), Wind releasing pose, Cat pose
If you wish to release fat from selected body part like the hips or abdomen or thighs or arms or legs or chest you can include the asnas specific to your requirement in the above plan.
