A LIFE GIVING PEAK

We were inspired by the words Feel, Love and Care where on this hill God wants us to come together in serving the poor and experience the Lord who is poor.Jeeva shikaram is a charitable society established in the year 2000 and Registered un der the Registrar of Societies of Andhra Pradesh,India.Jeevashikaram aims at rendering its services through different aspects of Social and interreligious dialogue.Here we the dedicated people of God will be serving the helpless old people in their old age, Orphan and tribal children who are not cared for and people who are homeless .With these aims Jeeva Shikaram launched its presence in Varni, Nizamabad District, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Varni is a village ,Mandal with a population of around 50,000 mostly who are Lambadas.These people live on the fringes of Society .Very few people acknowledge their presence and care for them. So we were called to take up this mission of Jeevashikaram to feel for them, to love them & to take care of such needy people.

It is to create an atmosphere in which the children who are Orphans and Trbals are looked after, fed,thaught and above all loved. The atmosphere in which all this takes place is one of radiant joy. We aim to be the light of God’s goodness for the poor and under privileged in this District.

We invite you to help us build a family of love for these Orphans and Tribal children .Come share your time, your affection to teach and build these little ones into mature adults who will in turn spread the love of God in their lives of others. Love help them to regain the joys of their childhood for a better tomorrow.

THE GIFT OF LIFE

Jeeva Shikarm would like to serve especially lonely and helpless old people through Jeeva. But Jeeva’s dedication alone would not suffice to make it for the aged a lively and Happy ashram to live in. To make it a lovely ashram a network of friends need to surround and provide the ‘extra touches’ which are necessary.

Here , we welcome everyone to be associated with the Ashram to help and serve the aged with your active and open –hands.We also seek your support to create a network of benefactors and volunteers to make known and witness to the role and mission of the elderly in our society.

We need associated to spend time with the elderly to read to them,pray with them,help them by giving them a bath , shave , a haircut .You may also provide them a meal and above all your precious time.One day it will be your turn to grow old gracefully. Well, you have friends around you, you now be a friend of to our aged.

THE GIFT OF LOVE

It is for the people who are on the streets, who ‘s minds blunted by the pangs of hunger.They live on what they scavenge from garbage.

“Something must be done” Sneha would like to take up the challenges for these homeless.We want to give a ray of hope to the hopeless.We invite such abandoned people to our shelter.We make the feel at home to regain their lost enthusiasm for living here at Sneha.

The destitute walk our streets daily but rarely any one notices.They become so familiar to our everyday life that we pass them by,But do stop and take a look and you will see many on our roads,in bus shelters,railway stations,dustbins.Will we have time togive them our love and concern?

Or are they just a nuisance on our streets.Sneha wants to provide a dwelling for them ,they are our brothers and sisters, they are God’s presence to us.come join us and help them to face life once again with hope and love.When we reachout to them and receive them, then we know that God is with us.”When I was hungry you gave me food and a stranger you made at home.”
